Nessa Wrafter: I am here with Nicole at Daniel Galvin. She is going to tell us about a new hair repair treatment called Nanomax. Hi Nicole!
Nicole: Hi!
Nessa Wrafter: Talk me through the different stages of the treatment.
Nicole: So there is three basic stages. The first stage being the shampoo with no conditioner, so that leaves the hair at its natural state. There is no extra conditioner being added, you just see the hair as its meant to be.
The second stage is then you rough dry the hair, and the first treatment will be added, which is the carotene. 80% of the hair is made up of carotene, and this is basically putting the carotene back to the lost parts of the hair.
The next stage is, we then blow dry the hair, that's how you get your finish. We also blow dry the hair because it's a heat activated product.
The final stage is then blow drying the hair to finish, we then put the final brush, which is basically a serum that locks in all the protein added to your hair. At the salon we suggest you do three treatments.
First treatment, you are going to see 80% improvement in your hair, the next treatment would be 90%, and then by the third treatment, a 100%.
Okay Nessa, let's have a look at your hair. Okay. This treatment will be great for your hair, because it's curling, it's quite fine. It always feels dry. So using the treatment will make them a lot stronger and a lot healthier as well.
A section of the hair, so the hair can get maximum amount of carotene it needs. Slowly drawing the brush down the hair, means it's getting to still release the amount of carotene and this is feeding the hair and adding protein that has been taken away by the use of hair straighteners, hair dryers, and just basic pollution that our hair sees everyday. This procedure is the equivalent of a facial for your hair.
Nessa Wrafter: So for a bride who is watching and thinks she would like to get this treatment, how long in advance of the wedding would you suggest that she comes in to see you?
Nicole: I would suggest, maybe about four months, so you get a real steady space when you come in, rather than rushing it. If someone is watching and they are two months into their wedding, great, they can still do the treatment. I think sometimes it's quite nice to do the treatment, let your hair settle, and then do it again, but it's personal preference, but I would suggest four months.
This is the final stage of the process. We have added the carotene into the hair. We have activated it by using the heat of the hairdryer, and now we are going to seal the hair using the serum.
This treatment is ideal for people that are trying to grow their hair, or they find it hard to grow their hair, because it's a bit short. If they hope to maintain the middle of the hair, they will find that it's a lot healthier when it grows. They will be able to have a lot less cut of the hairs. In here we have the sealer, this tube, and into the brush, and this is what helps to seal the carotene into the hair.
Nessa Wrafter: What kind of clients do you find come in for this treatment?
Nicole: It's ideal for brides, because they really want to look their best on their day. Sometimes people just get it done, and they feel, oh great, your hair can lift you up so much that anyone can use it. But people do try to use it for special occasion, or even afterwards, if you just want to brighten up your day, that's the best to do it.
The more you do this process, the more you improve. So now you are starting to build the carotene back into your hair. Physically you can see the difference, that the hair is a lot shinier. I mean, you get shiny hair, that means it's healthy, because it's not splitted.
You can see that the hair starts to look smoother, it's shinier. If it was unhealthy hair, you wouldn't get that. So now it's just starting to build the carotene into the hair. That's what makes it shiny. So after the third treatment, you will find it's really helping. It would be much stronger as well. If you keep eating healthy food, your skin will improve, and that's like your hair. If you keep adding protein to the hair, it's just going to improve and get better and better.
You are finished.
Nessa Wrafter: Thank you very much.
Nicole: It was a pleasure. Hollywood hair, healthy hair.
