You will need a counterweight that comes from duncan FH or FHZ, or make your own.

Remove the string from your yoyo. Take the end without the loop and put it through the hole on your counterweight. Now, take the end and put it through the pre-tied loop. Pull all the way through. Reattach the string as normal.
