Hi, my name is Carol. I am an Esthetician for Natural Health Technologies, health and wellness spa. Today our presentation is going to be about waxing. Focusing on Brazilian and Bikini waxing.
What is waxing? Waxing is a form of hair removal that removes the entire hair from the hair follicle. After cleansing the area, we may need to snip the hair with scissors, so the wax can reach the follicles. Powder is rubbed into the area, so the wax does not stick to the skin, then we apply the warm wax to the skin and if the wax enters the follicle allowing the hair to be pulled from the root. The wax is removed to the cloths strip and because the entire hair is removed skin is left very smooth.
What is the difference of waxing and shaving? When shaving within a few days the hair can be seen at the surface of the skin and the coarse stubble can be felt. Shaving can result to ingrown hair bumps and ongoing skin irritation. Waxing changes the structure of your hair follicle and hair grows back slower. And usually, waxing will overtime make hair grow finer and thinner, but there were always be some re-growth.
What can I expect from my first waxing experience, and does it hurt? Your first time receiving body waxing can be uncomfortable, because after shaving for years the hair grows extremely coarse the more frequent you receive body waxes the hair will begin to grow out thinner. Removing hair directly from the follicles is never comfortable, however we will make sure your waxing experience is comfortable.
What is the difference between a Brazilian and a Bikini wax? During the bikini wax hair is removed from the outside of the panty line usually leave in about an inch strip of hair. For the Brazilian, the Brazilian got its name from all the girls in Brazil wearing thong bikinis and a special treatment for unwanted hair was required and this treatment was coined the Brazilian. And, the specialized treatment developed in Brazil is not only for the girls in Brazil anymore its very much in demand and it means all offer leave in a very little decoration strip and you can wear your smallest bikini without having any doubts.
How to prepare for your Brazilian or Bikini Wax? In order for Brazilian or bikini wax to be successful the hair needs to be at least the quarter of an inch long and 10 to 14 days of growth this is specially applies to first time clients who have been shaving. The worst possible thing you can do to your bikini line is to wax too soon after shaving, stubbles awful to take up if it is too short and that is why we ask for 10 to 14 days of growth, before waxing and most importantly before Bikini or Brazilian wax take a shower please.
What should I wear for a Bikini or Brazilian wax and how long does it take? During the treatment, you can leave your panties on or off we. Will provide you with the disposable panty for any type of bikini service, as well. As for how long the waxing takes? It depends on the density of your hair growth and many other factors, but your first wax appointment plan, between 30 to 45 minutes. That concludes our waxing presentation. We look forward to seeing you soon.
