I am Steve Terrano, welcome to this episode body performance. I received countless emails from kids saying Steve I am 12 13 14 15 and I am over weight, and I have been always overweight I am so unhappy can you please help me? This just kills me, let me give you some suggestions. If you are 15 and you are overweight, you are not overweight because you are drinking to much beer, you are not overweight because you have been having business lunches, and you are not over weight because you have been flying around the country, staying hotel rooms, eating hotel food. You are probably overweight because you are not active enough and you have been eating too much junk. The last thing I want to suggest to a 13 year old or 14 year old is go to on a diet because they really do not need to go to a diet you know why, because they can get up and play all day. I mean school is only 6 hours now days after school, get outside and play soccer, baseball, football, bike increase activity will burn up additional calories.
Second thing they have to do is watch the amount of junk you eat and junk can be from anywhere, additional cookies coming out on the cover, fast food, being at the mall, eating at food court, Candy from convenient stores, anything. If you are young and you are over weight do not go on a diet, just simply increase your activity level and just watch the amount of junk you are eating, every hour you sit in front of the computer is an hour of exercise you have lost. Game boys, T.V all this things come and you become sedentary. Get up, get outside and become active, that alone will help start the weight lose process. Watch the amount of junk you eat, that will help the process. Love your body.
