Price is Right - Software Review
All right guys, I'm back with another video. This is going to be an in depth review of the $2.99 application download for the Price is Right.
This is actually the third time, that I filmed this video and for some reason I just can't get how I want it to be. So we’re going to it the third time. I'm about to go crazy though because this is taking forever. So were going to try this again. We’re going to see if I can get everything explained this time thoroughly and easily and quick enough time because sometimes it’s like 13 minute video and sometimes the resolution is terrible. So zoom it but not too much.
And the one I just did for this, I zoomed in too much and it’s a little bit too blurry and I want to put it in and that’s it has a terrible quality and like it’s like nicer to watch. So anyway, let’s start before I run out of time because now I'm just rambling and wasting time. There’s 50 seconds.
So for the main menu you have two different methods to play. You can do play or you can do party game. And party game is you can do four different people on the same iPhone or iPod at the same time. And then for play, it’s just single player mode. Lets go into this little knob down here. It’s like trophies and challenges and a lot of loading game to this.
Anyway, so there are about 20 different mini-games. There are all the same ones from the show. So for example, here’s Plinko. If I want to be able to play Plinko whenever I want to, then I have to win more than $10,000 but I haven’t done than yet. And over here on the left side there are different rings.
So right now, I'm going to be eager-bitter. So actually at over time when you play a little bit more then yo start to gain more ranks and just start to make more money, you get a higher ranking.
Complete all the challenges to unlock access to the pricing game. So it is pretty much to just play more then you’ll get unlock into the pricing games. But until then, you have to play to the single player mode which is sill just as much fun.
So, were going to do single player mode. And in single player mode, there's two different modes. There's classic mode which is like TV and at the classic mode it’s—I'm getting blurry again. Good Lord why is this so terrible? Do not blur. I don’t know, were going to try that.
Classic mode is just like the TV version. If you lose then you’re out. You should go to beginning and you don’t get to try anymore. Go to the main menu and you going to do all over again.
This one’s called Three Strikes Mode which is specifically designed for the iPhone and the iPod touch and I love this mode. It is really smart that they put it in here because they know that you’re trying to have a good time and they want to be able to progress as much as possible. So you get three different chances to screw up. And each time you do, you still get to progress on through the game and you don’t have to go to the main menu. So were going to do Three Strikes Mode.
And what you’re about to see right here, you’re going to hear the announcer and the music. We’ll listen to this. So as you guys can see, there's no frame at it. This is really, the music sounds great, and the announcer I think is the same one from the show. He sounds great too. They really makes you to captivate you into the game make you feel that you’re actually playing the Price is Right in person. So I would definitely this application due to reason price drop. Now it’s three blocks, there's no really reason why not to buy it.
As you guys can see this, this is the contestant’s row so it’s pretty much exactly how it is in the game on TV. There is contestant’s row, you play in mini-game then you go to the big wheel and then you got a showcase showdown.
If you haven’t seen it on TV, the announcer, he explains it perfectly. He makes it so it’s like a new fresh idea. And if you never seen it before, then there you go. You can play it step by step here.
So what were going to do right here is bidding on a price that they’re going to show us. To show you a really in depth video, it’s just like on TV. It gives you huge detail on it. It is a Honda. These are name brand items were bidding on. It makes you feel like it’s more realistic too.
These are the items that you see on TV. There's cars, there's the little appliance products and stuff. This is the exactly the stuff that you see in the stores. It’s the stuff that’s on TV. It makes you feel like it’s more realistic.
Were going to bid-- I don’t know well do 16011, no, 1501. All right, so we didn’t get it right here, so she won. But anyway, like I'm saying were going to get a strike here. but since we’re getting a strike that doesn’t mean we have to stop and go to the main menu. This is a good example I guess. Well say that I lost it on purpose which I didn’t.
But anyway, so now since I got a strike, I still get to go in to mini-games. It’s going to load and it’s going to bring us new mini game and it’s like nothing wrong just went there. So go on, go on and loading hold on, come on, good. That’s tricky. It sounds pretty good right now.
I'm going to say the first--Fail. It’s not $60, it is $20. There we go. See what I get to do here? See, you can skip through videos. I don’t know if you watch them, that’s a bubble chair and you not to watch everything.
Another chair is $20,000, okay. Okay, cool. We won the bubble chair. Wow, okay so I got the key that unlocks everything. So I just won a bunch of stuffs. Great, anyway new achievement. They may go to Plinko now. I would love it if I could play Plinko. That’s my favorite game from TV.
All right, so that’s pretty much what you do so far and now were going to go into the big show because the showcase showdown—So, if you guys haven’t seen this on TV, what you do is you spin the wheel and your goal is to get as close to possible or as close to $1 as possible.
I think what stinks about this is that you can't skip through this part at all. You have to watch the entire thing. Let’s go for a dollar. No, stay at $90; do not go to five, good. $90 is good, so it’s either you have two chances to get to a dollar. So were going to stay.
And now I'm going to see if I can cut through all these stuffs because this is—you can't skip through like what I'm saying and it really stinks. I wish you could, I don’t know why it they don’t allow you to skip through it especially now because she has $65. She has to beat $90, so now she has to go again. So this going to take like an extra minute.
Okay, so I'm sorry guys my camera just had a little bit of cram in the memory card again. I don’t know why my camera is messy. It fit’s you lately and stuff like that. So, I just got a strike in the big show and the big spinning wheel thingy that you guys just saw. And the thing that stinks about this is when you get a strike for the showcase showdown, you have to go to the beginning.
So that means you have to go through this entire thing again. I'm not going to do that guys. I'm going to go back to the main menu. We’re going to see if I unlock Plinko because that will be fantastic if I did because I love that game.
Anyway, so you guys have pretty much seen with the Price is Right like. There’s like 20 different mini-games. There are hundreds of different items that you’re bidding on so the game always is fresh and always as new. It’s not never going to be repetitive really once you play like a billions times. You actually memorize the price but I doubt you will.
Why can't I play it? I got $10,000. I have to win $10,000 in PLinko. I have to win. My challenge for Plinko is to win more than $10,000. My high score in Plinko is $10,000, a quick slap in the face.
What else can we play? What games have played? I’ve played Cliffhangers, one with ten steps or less. Okay. I don’t have Cliffhangers unlocked. I don’t have any games unlocked. I'm just clicking the ones that I’ve played through already. None of these I have none of them unlocked. Gosh that stinks.
Maybe it’s the Showcase Showdown or something like that. What about Contestant’s row? Nothing? I have nothing unlocked guys. I suck at this game. All right so I'm going to end it now. Best of price is right guys. It’s at $2.99 go to main menu.
It’s $2.99 application download from the app store. I would definitely recommend it. It’s a fantastic application. I have not found one flaw with it yet actually. We’re going to a couple more settings. For the options, you just have volume and sound effects, music and voice. Then for change player, you can’t really customize your player too much. There are eight different pre-designed players. And for those players, there's four males and four females.
I don’t know if you can change the name but that’s pretty much it. You can't change your clothing or anything like that. Then over here you can create a new contestant so you have different profiles. So if you have more than one person playing in the same iPod or iPhone then you can get more profiles and they can start their own single player mode.
So, I would definitely recommend this application. I'm actually going to give it a 10 which I think I only done it like once or twice. I haven’t found any flaws with this game at all. It’s a really fun application. It’s a party game so you can play it for more than one person on the iPhone or iPod.
See, I recommend this one guys. Definitely go out and buy this one. It’s only $3. It’s a great application. Have a fantastic day guys. I’ll talk to you later. Bye.
