Product Review - Powermat Wireless Power
Hey! Its Mario Armstrong, your tech guru for sbtv.com at the International 2009 CES show. I am in the office of the future. Small business owners, this is our next office. What is so impressive about this office is that this table is actually a conduit of energy. Do you get that? Does that make sense? It probably doesn’t until you see its demonstrated, look, let me show you. I have a laptop. We have a BlackBerry. We also have an alarm clock with an iPod but let me ask you one question, do you see any cords on any of these devices? No, you don’t. But how are they powered up? How will they turn on? It’s because of the magnetic induction of Powermat’s technology that’s built in to this table. For example, when I take a BlackBerry that’s actually down, its dead right now, right, and its dark anyway and I want to charge it on this table in my new office of the future. I just slide it right into my position on the table and look at that. Lights right up. Can you believe this? This is phenomenal. This is the way for the future. No more worrying about carrying all those adapters. When you travel small business owners, you're safe now. One package, one device you carry with you enables you to not have to carry all of those power cords and when you go to hotels if you're like me, you'll never find enough outlets. So here's the perfect product that Powermat has created. This is the mobile package that allows you to open up, put it flat in the table. Now this one device does plug into a wall outlet. And then you simply would place your devices on this particular mat and that would charge those devices. Pack it up, take it with you on the go. So this is great for small business owners. I'm excited about the Powermat technology. I think this is going to be the future of where we go with how we power our devices. And the last comment is, not only can you do low powered devices like iPods, BlackBerries and phones, you can also do high powered devices like laptops all on the same charger. Very impressive. Will be available, fourth quarter 2009 in major retail. Powermat, stay focused on it. Stay tuned to sbtv.com. We’ll give you the updates as we learn more from this International 2009 CES show. I'm Mario Armstrong your tech guru for sbtv.com. We’ll be back.
