Product Review - Toshiba Lo Jack
Hey! It’s Mario Armstrong, International 2009 Consumer Electronics Show for sbtv.com, your tech guru on sbtv.com. We’re hanging out at the Toshiba booth right now and we noticed not only do they have a series of great laptops, we’ll touch on those later but one little thing jumped out at us that we thought we should educate you guys on. You may have heard us talk about Lo Jack before, a piece of software that enables you to really have some piece of mind about your particular computer. Many of you small business owners are out traveling a lot the last thing you want is for your laptop to become missing because someone stole it. But if you have Lo Jack, I believe it’s about 99 bucks or so for the actual software. If you have Lo Jack installed on the laptop, the next time the laptop is actually connected to a network, it will alert the monitoring center and they call back the device every 15 minutes. So essentially you will end up getting back your device or at least the location of your device using this particular software. So, the bottom line is, think about your technology. You are out and about a lot. Think about securing it and think about using something like Lo Jack as a software to keep track of it. Last point, for your corporates or a little bit larger business, if you're worried about asset tracking, many of you maybe letting go of an employee, hopefully not anytime soon, but if you are, you want to asset track your devices, this will also help you manage that as well. Alright, so you're hearing it. Don’t get your stuffs snatched up. Don’t say Mario Armstrong and SBTV did not tell you that you can secure your devices, alright. I'm Mario Armstrong at that International 2009 Consumer Electronics Show. So much more to come but I am so tired and exhausted.
