Okay Kim, what easy tutorial are you going to show us today?
Today, I want to show you how to customize this sports ticket. So basically, let me go over my areas first. I like to have my move tool selected and auto select layer and show transform controls and these are my layers and I like to have them up and if you don’t have that up you go to window and then click on layers. And I also have my character palette up and if necessary I may use the paragraph palette and you bring that up the same way with window, also history, sometimes I like to use that.
So, the first thing I’m going to do is go ahead and pull up my photo that I want to add and here it is. And then I’m going to come down to the bottom and click open. If you’re using the Elements version, you’re not going to see these little folders because the “Elements” doesn’t support folders so everything is just open. I’m going to come over here to where it say photo and background layers and I’m going to little press that little triangle down and come to your photo here and I’m just going to drag my photo in to that area.
Now if you wanted to you could just drag this out to the size that you want and center it and just leave it like that or you can take that layer and right click it and click create clipping mask and then you have it in there with and then you have it attaching to that frame shape.
And the way that you change the colors is you just come to where it says color shape and you double click this and then you just choose a color. So I’m going to sample a color from his uniform and that’s a little bit light. So I’m just going to bring it over here. I could even go darker and then I’m going to click okay and then I can just come in here with my type tool and change his name. That’s his last name. Change his first name and you can also make these bigger or smaller by coming over here to your character palette and increasing the font size and you can even stretch out the shape underneath.
All of the texts on here is completely customizable, every single piece of text. The font locations are included with the template so you can really customize it and just make a birthday invitation or an announcement of some sort or it’s just kind of a fun thing to do.
