Tiffany Young: Hi, there and welcome to Neo-Fight.TV, the TV show for the not so geeky. My name is Tiffany Young.
Ben Freedman: And I am Ben Freedman and now we are at TV show.
Tiffany Young: Yeah.
Ben Freedman: We used to be a technology show but that is okay.
Tiffany Young: We’re really a TV technology. I mean and all the times I said it was the first time I think I’ve ever said television.
Ben Freedman: I think you are right.
Tiffany Young: To shake things up sometimes.
Ben Freedman: Yeah, yeah. Hopefully we will be a new television as well one day.
Tiffany Young: Yeah.
Ben Freedman: And now we already are if you—
Tiffany Young: Live in Canada, you know.
Ben Freedman: In a media center. Anyway, today on the show, we’re going to be taking a look at this which is a charger from our good friends at Proporta.
Tiffany Young: Oh my God.
Ben Freedman: This is the Ted Baker Six Pack. It comes in this nice, little case. Ted Baker, some of you will probably know what that is but those of you who live in the middle of the country, the flyover country or as I like to refer it to it as BF nowhere.
Tiffany Young: Oh, that is nice.
Ben Freedman: You may not have heard of it.
Tiffany Young: It’s where all those “other” people lived.
Ben Freedman: Ted Baker’s a European or a UK based men’s wear, men’s shop, you know from men’s clothing and they have licensed their name out to this.
Tiffany Young: Oh, my goodness.
Ben Freedman: Stuff from Proporta and now what this is so basically it comes with a couple of things. It comes with a power supply that you can plug into your wall but you can also unplug it.
Tiffany Young: Oh great.
Ben Freedman: This is the US sort of thingy. You can plug in like if you’re like in Prague like I was last month. Click that on and now you’ve got your prongs and frogs, your frog prong or if you are in the UK, in England where they have these massively large—
Tiffany Young: Those are like the oven; microwave range and dishwasher or—
Ben Freedman: But this is what they are all are in England.
Tiffany Young: Wow.
Ben Freedman: Yeah.
Tiffany Young: They take a lot more power?
Ben Freedman: In England, it’s 220V.
Tiffany Young: Always on every single plans, product?
Ben Freedman: Yeah.
Tiffany Young: Wow.
Ben Freedman: Yeah. Yes, dangerous. You can be hurt by that.
Tiffany Young: Do you think so?
Ben Freedman: They also come with a USB charger for a car if you went to a car wherever you're going it’s fine and then this is the part that I think is really cool. It also comes with a battery. You can plug it into your USB, charge it up and then if you are on the plane and your iPhone runs out of juice or whatever, you can use this battery pack.
Tiffany Young: Pretty cool.
Ben Freedman: And it comes with like for instance, so I kind of recharge it directly from the plug or you can plug this in here, little extendable cable and then plug in whatever it is like in this case, an iPod.
Tiffany Young: Wow. Look at all these adapters.
Ben Freedman: And now that was charging up. Yeah it comes with all these tips for different cell phones.
Tiffany Young: Oh my gosh.
Ben Freedman: If you have a Motorola or a Nokia, it comes all these tips. So you get this all together.
Tiffany Young: Oh that is great.
Ben Freedman: Yeah.
Tiffany Young: Well how much is it?
Ben Freedman: I am glad you asked that, $50.00.
Tiffany Young: Oh?
Ben Freedman: $50.00 for all of these.
Tiffany Young: I know but I am saying that is like so good because I mean chargers are like couple of chargers.
Ben Freedman: Oh no, you will get all the chargers.
Tiffany Young: Just wall in—
Ben Freedman: Including this little thing and if you don’t need adapter along, you know you just got it rolled and it gets a little short. You see I am charging my iPod from the battery. So if I have a plug, if I’ve got plugs I’m good if I’m in the car, I am good or if I just want to use a battery.
Tiffany Young: Wow.
Ben Freedman: And battery—
Tiffany Young: That is a great deal.
Ben Freedman: Yeah, what do you think of that?
Tiffany Young: I am so surprised and good quality. That was really good.
Ben Freedman: Yeah, you can double recharge in your iPhone with that or plug it in on the car or anywhere else.
Tiffany Young: This is super.
Ben Freedman: Sorry? You know that is for a pink slipper.
Tiffany Young: Oh perfect! That is absolutely perfect.
Ben Freedman: You put your pink slipper on there.
Tiffany Young: Get your little—
Ben Freedman: Yeah.
Tiffany Young: Tingly on here.
Ben Freedman: Tingly.
Tiffany Young: So you know it’s yours.
Ben Freedman: That is right.
Tiffany Young: And you want to be unique of course.
Ben Freedman: Although a Ted Baker you know, a brown Ted Baker battery pack with a pink slipper
Tiffany Young: And it’s kind of like—just look at this, the flat one is really fast.
Ben Freedman: There is something wrong with that.
Tiffany Young: Can I get a drink over here?
Ben Freedman: That looks a little too natural for you there. I don’t know what it is so you see you can plug in different tips. This is the iPod tip but if you don’t want to have an iPod, let’s say that you have some other, you know like, here is one for like the Ericsson tip if you have an Ericsson phone
Tiffany Young: Cool, very nice. So I wonder as the tip change, isn’t that so funny, a cellular phone change, tips change, as tips change—
Ben Freedman: You can buy new ones from Proporta.
Tiffany Young: But you could new decors.
Ben Freedman: They are like a $50.00. I mean they are cheap.
Tiffany Young: Wow.
Ben Freedman: Yeah, pretty cheap.
Tiffany Young: It’s quite a deal. Well, that is a 5 out of 5 for me for sure.
Ben Freedman: You know it’s 5 out of 5 for me. It’s perfect and I know we don’t use of these but Proporta sent me another little thing that isn’t really part of this review but I want to mention it. This is Proporta’s Universal iPod iPhone charger and there is a USB cable with a charging stand but it comes with four or five of these and rather than conforming to every single iPod, they just kind of in different widths. It’s the only stand that I found that will charge the old iPhone and the new iPhone.
Tiffany Young: What do you mean that between the new G3 Network 1, what generation is the newest iPhone?
Ben Freedman: 3G.
Tiffany Young: 3G, okay. So, between the last one and the new one, you need new charger?
Ben Freedman: Well, you need new dock. So it’s the same cable.
Tiffany Young: Right.
Ben Freedman: But it’s a different shape phone so it won’t fit in to the base because of the new dock.
Tiffany Young: Oh my gosh, really?
Ben Freedman: Yeah, so if you are using the cable, that is fine but the cable won’t stand up right, whereas this. So for instance here is old iPhone. Yo notice old iPhone fits fine.
Tiffany Young: Great.
Ben Freedman: And here we are.
Tiffany Young: Because I need a visual of course, right?
Ben Freedman: New iPhone also fits fine. Isn’t that great?
Tiffany Young: Cool, yeah.
Ben Freedman: And you know if you want to you can plug in iPod.
Tiffany Young: Give on me like are you sure? Show me.
Ben Freedman: There you go.
Tiffany Young: Cool.
Ben Freedman: So that was like two reviews for the price of one. I also give it 5 out of 5 you know just because I love Proporta stuff and for the $50.00, it’s a great catch. I can’t remember how much what this was but it’s not expensive.
Tiffany Young: Right. I can’t believe how expensive the chargers are in the store just to buy it.
Ben Freedman: Five out of 5 for me, 5 out of 5 for Tiff. That is 10 out of 10 for the Proporta Ted Baker Six Pack and take a look also at their Universal iPod docking station.
Tiffany Young: You go Ted Baker.
Ben Freedman: You go Proporta and we have another review coming up right after this, so stay tuned.
And welcome back to Neo-Fight.TV in the second spotlight section. Today, we are taking a look at a few new cases from the good folks at Mophie.
Tiffany Young: Oh Mophie.
Ben Freedman: These are the Mophie Radura cases. These are about $20.00 each. They are not expensive and they’ve sent this to us free here. It’s kind of cool. These are designed to allow what they call like the inner beauty of your iPod to shine through and as such, they are clear.
Tiffany Young: Kind of like sheer makeup for women.
Ben Freedman: Hold that up.
Tiffany Young: It lets your inner beauty shine through.
Ben Freedman: Yeah, clear makeup.
Tiffany Young: Don’t cover up freckles.
Ben Freedman: There is a point in clear makeup.
Tiffany Young: Not clear, it’s Sheer.
Ben Freedman: Yeah.
Tiffany Young: Like this.
Ben Freedman: I got some clear make up for you here. It’s called Share. Here put some on. You look beautiful. This one is the iPod Nano case. It comes with this little insert you can put in and take out. It comes with two or three different colors.
Tiffany Young: It looks like that is a piece of smashed gum. Doesn’t that kind of? It’s smashed.
Ben Freedman: Yeah. It doesn’t taste like it.
Tiffany Young: How tough is it?
Ben Freedman: Here. I didn’t chew on that side.
Tiffany Young: Oh that is nice. That is cool though.
Ben Freedman: Yeah, it’s just the color thing.
Tiffany Young: It looks like a little wave.
Ben Freedman: Oh that was a mistake.
Tiffany Young: Is that good?
Ben Freedman: And so drop the iPod in there of where I had it.
Tiffany Young: Like it excretes some sort of chemicals that are—
Ben Freedman: Over there.
Tiffany Young: I think where it said in the package it says “Don’t eat.”
Ben Freedman: Don’t eat.
Tiffany Young: Yes.
Ben Freedman: Okay, give me the other side. Let’s clip this together and these just go in just like this one, two three.
Tiffany Young: Oh, I like it.
Ben Freedman: And while you are looking at that one, I am going to put this one for the—
Tiffany Young: Oh you know I really like this. I kind of like this looks. I mean why have a beautiful Nano if you’re not going to show it and just covered up with stickers or—
Ben Freedman: iPod touch here.
Tiffany Young: So I love this. It’s a great idea. sort of just like wave.
Ben Freedman: And it does not make it too much bigger. Here is the one for the iPod Touch and while you look at that, I am going to put together this iPhone one here.
Tiffany Young: Yeah, nice. But I have this get scratched up in your phone, right?
Ben Freedman: Well that is right. In fact, if you take a look I’ve been using this one for a little bit and it is kind of scratched up and those scratches would have been it’s scratching your iPhone. You know maybe your iPhone does not scratch because this is plastic but my point is this; it’s good protection. It makes it a little grippier.
Tiffany Young: It’s pretty solid too.
Ben Freedman: Yeah and it is $20.00 and you can still see it. That is the inner beauty of your iPhone shining through.
Tiffany Young: Which I think it should because all those hours in design which get covered up. You can have something clear.
Ben Freedman: Yes. So, this is for the old iPhone but I am sure they will have them coming up for the iPhone 3G.
Tiffany Young: I really like this one.
Ben Freedman: You do? And that one has different colors in as well. So here you, you can take a look, just a touch in the iPhone.
Tiffany Young: Good idea.
Ben Freedman: What do you think?
Tiffany Young: I would say I probably have to replace in what? About every six months?
Ben Freedman: Yeah. I mean you know it depends on how brutal you are. You, every two weeks. Me? Once a year.
Tiffany Young: They are so slippery. I did a linear through my cell phone, really.
Ben Freedman: I can find nothing wrong with these cases, I give them a 5 out of 5. If you want a hard plastic case and it’s cheap. It’s $20.00. That is a good deal for an iPhone case.
Tiffany Young: Yeah. It really is. Now, I agree. I can’t find anything wrong with this, 5 out of 5 for me too.
Ben Freedman: That is 5 out of 5 for Tiffany, 5 out of 5 for me and that is 10 out of 10 for the Mophie Radura Cases for your iPhone, iPod, iPod Touch and what have you?
Tiffany Young: Very nice.
Ben Freedman: They don’t all have the interchangeable backs like this one does and well it’s interchangeable back by the way. It makes this less slippery.
Tiffany Young: Right.
Ben Freedman: You should see how less slippery that is.
Tiffany Young: Oh definitely.
Ben Freedman: For this, it’s still a bit slippery.
Tiffany Young: Seriously it’s a rubber stuffer.
Ben Freedman: Yeah, so that slides.
Tiffany Young: So you know outside of this it’s got the casing and then on top of that.
Ben Freedman: I don’t know if they would have done the same way on here, I think it does not have to be a cool design but maybe just like rubber dots, so it slides.
Tiffany Young: Yeah, it’s a good idea.
Ben Freedman: Yeah. Okay, 4 out of 5 and dock of point for that, no.
Tiffany Young: No.
Ben Freedman: Because it’s a good idea on here.
Tiffany Young: Yeah.
Ben Freedman: And this should be on all of them. Still 5 out of 5, just add that the other way.
Tiffany Young: Saved.
Ben Freedman: That is 5 out of 5 for me, 5 out of 5 to me. 10 out of 10 for the Mophie Radura, did I ever say that? I don’t think I did. Okay, I remember.
Tiffany Young: You did just now, so good.
