Dan: OnlyBusiness.com was formed to onset the fundamental question that must small businesses have about the internet which is how do I build a financially successful business online and like money off the web. Zorianna: How is that work? Dan: We provide a series of very well designed, best site designs that you can use and customize to meet your exact needs. And then you add all of the web tools and products that we offer through our system in order to build the kind of online offering that you would like your—and uses in customers to have access to. We have a full suite of wave marketing tools and business networking tools as well. Zorianna: How many small businesses need your service? Dan: Actually, all small businesses need our service. Our system caters for all types of small business. Zorianna: So a technician doesn’t come to your place of business, you empower the business owner to create these themselves, right? Dan: Absolutely. Zorianna: And even if you're not internet savvy, you can go ahead and do this? Dan: It’s designed specifically for none technical users. Most small business owners typically don’t have the time, the financial resource. Zorianna: It’s expensive to build a website. Dan: Absolutely, and I also don’t have the technical know-how and the marketing know-how and experience in order to promote the website once it’s been created. Zorianna: But you’ve said that they register for free, so in giving them all these tools that absolutely no cost, how do you then make revenue off this site? Dan: We have a number of different packages that our users can take up. One of which is a free package and of course our goal was to allow small businesses to embrace the web into benefit financially from it. Zorianna: Do you find that today’s small business owners need to gravitate towards the web to get business? Dan: Absolutely, especially in the tough economic climates today. Small business owners are looking for a high performance, low cost business tool that helps them make money. It’s become increasingly challenging and the web is the new business environment in which all small business owners can now participate. Zorianna: And at the same time the web is such a young person’s place that does find that some small business owners struggle to make this transfer? Dan: One of the small business owners that we’ve spoken to have lost majority find the way very daunting, they find it very technical environment and we’ve already trying to demystify that. We’ve wanted to allow users with very little, if any technical knowledge. If they can use Microsoft Word they can use our system and they can build already powerful web offerings. Now, what we found is that a lot of the web builders out there allow you to build a web presence but it has no credibility. And from an end user’s perspective, there’s only one product of service that’s have a portal server in the internet and that is credibility. People don’t trust the company that never going to hand over their money to buy. Zorianna: What is the most bizarre small business idea you’ve ever had? Dan: My business partner Mark Friedman and I had these weird ideas some time ago to build a web system that embrace all small businesses all over the world and allow them to participate in the most important business environment on the web today.
