Shalom. This video is about the Psalm 145, the Ashrei. It is done three times everyday, twice in the morning service and once in the afternoon service and the Talmud has statements about the importance of this prayer and how it moves even to God.
Happy are those who dwell in your house to praise your name forever and ever. Now, there has two opening lines, both they are going to Ashrei and then let us say alphabetically acrostic but it is missing the sentence that should begin with the noon. It should be the last speculation about what that sentence should be, probably some scribe and copy in the documents simply neglected to put a copy at noon sentence and left it out and then suddenly came down to us.
In any case, it is very important prayer and – sings it for you so that you can learn the chanted. There are obviously several tunes here it is the most common that we know. And often it is done responsibly but I will do the whole thing. Ashrei yoshvei veitecha, od y’hal’lucha selah. Ashrei ha-am she’ka’cha lo, ashrei haam she-Adonai Elohav. T’hilah l’David.
