This next Chi Gong is really a wonderful one. It works predominantly with the liver and many of this Chi Gongs particularly the Chi Gongs that are working with these five goddesses and five gods also work with the black emotions that are associated with those organ systems. In the case of the liver, the black emotion is anger.
So the Chi Gong that is used for this is a Chi Gong that is kind of angry or has the feeling of anger, but it is not an anger where you are so caught up in the anger that you are being carried away by it. It is more on the spirit of the anger being brought up to the surface in the clear light of awareness and then naturally transmitted and released. That Chi Gong is called the punch with blazing eyes. And so, the idea here particularly because there is such a strong association of the eyes with the liver. It is the punch where the eyes is really blazing and in a sense wide and re-alert. I like to think of it as a kind of eye that filled with awareness not just filled with anger, but filled with awareness with a clarity and the sharpness that comes. When anger is transmitted, it is kind of very, very powerful clarity that we can count.
So, when you do this punch with blazing eyes, blazing eyes with kind of that spirit of clarity not just anger and more of the anger being transformed into this clarity. So, when you punch if you would like, you can also use the healing sound for the deliver which is shew, shew, shew. Now, when you get in the stance for this, you want to get down and get into a deeper stance, you lock the arms back like this and I recommend starting your punch with armoring the left side, determine the inside first, then you come out like this with a punch, so you roll the fist like that.
And when you come out with the punch you blaze the eyes, like that. And, do not punch so hard that you hurt yourself, but make it a definite punch but not so hard that you hurt yourself or injury your tendons or anything like that. So, after you punch like that and then you go to the other side and then punch.
Now, we are doing it with partners today, but of course, you do not have to do this with a partner. It is fun, however, sometimes to do this with a mirror just for fun. So, when you do the shew sound, breathe in through the nose then you release inhaling, spilling the toxins and the anger and the black of this through the exhalation of the shew, okay, as fertilizer not dumping as fertilizer from mother earth.
So let us begin. We are going to do four straight ahead and then one, two, three, four to the side, and then finish up with four straight ahead, okay.
[Demonstration]
And then, bring hands in like this and finish up with a nice stance like and then the diamond Mudra. Then you can look into your partner’s eyes just very peaceful.
Great!
