Pushing a Skateboard

Hi this is Kier Johnson with Catalyst Skateboards and showing you the fundamentals of skateboarding today. Right now I’m going to show you how to push, I’m regular stance so for a regular push put your left foot in the middle of the board, use your right foot and basically push along like this. [Demonstration] Here’s another way to do it. [Demonstration] Most important thing you want to remember about pushing is to always look forward and watch out for cracks in the sidewalk and lean back a little bit with your weight as you push as you can see, just ride it, cruise. [Demonstration] That’s the fundamental of pushing. Next I’m going to show you how to do kick turns.
