Sam rocks 321, wants to know do we use a professional lighting kit for a green screen? I do not know if you would really call it professional, it is definitely pro-soomer but is reasonably affordable, but keep in mind we are talking about a green screen set up. That requires a lot more light, if you are shooting something without a green screen you can get by with a lot less and a lot cheaper stuff.
Our next inquiry comes from Dennis and it is a video question.
Dennis: My name is Dennis and I was wondering how do you make ballistic gel and I was curious how you do green screen.
Erik: Well Dennis, I am little disappointed. You can find both this things on www.indymogul.com, but because you asked and I am such a nice guy I am going to give you a couple quick tips. Ballistics Gel is made from know gellow and it is just more powder to wire ratio than you normally would and the green screen the best thing you can do is use tons of light. Everything else watches the episodes.
Male1: Hi indymogul, I just got my audio technique ATR55 and Erik, you said this is the same thing that you got so, I was curious about the settings, which one I should keep on and when, stuff like that because I really have no idea what is the difference that it makes.
Eric: Congratulations Erik, you just made the best purchase of your life. You are now the owner of the audio technika ATR500. Telemic and here is where you want to use these settings. First off, always remember to turn it off when you are done. I have this little thing right here to remind me because this battery will run out. There are two settings, normal and tella, when I have this hooked to my camera, I usually put it on normal and sometimes I will use this actually for voice overs, plugged in to my computer and I will use Tella and the main difference between these settings are at least the theory behind it is that, when you have it set to Tella, it is going to be very directional, it is going to pick up sound out and like a spear from the mic and the normal is going to be like a circle. A broader range of sound but since it is kind of cheap mic basically, normal is normal and Tella just boost the game, it does not really redirect, I do not think. So I usually just set it to normal and then adjust your audio settings on your camera. But, great purchase, great mic $40 on e-bay.

Male2: Also, I was having some trouble uploading my files to the computer I had clips that looked fine when I was looking on my camera and then when they are on the computer, they get cut off slightly so I do not know exactly, can you help me?
Erik: We actually had a very similar problem when we were shooting an HD. basically we go to capture and we will cut off three or four seconds at the beginning of the take it turned out the problem was our codec setting in final cut was a little weird so it was not like starting the capture in time. Try messing around with that other than that check out forums and things like that for your specific camera.
Our last question comes from forum member augman77 who actually think is the same guy who just asked about the microphone, weird, who are you? Make up your mind buddy. Just kidding, anyways, he asks about side burns and a bald cap. He does not want to shave up his side burns but a lot of times bald caps do not go all the way down. I just had the same problem from the demon make up episode and what I did is I cut out a hole of the bald cap for my ears so they would go through and when i was done I had these little patches of the latex. The bald cap material so i used to use like a little bit of liquid latex and just made an extra patch and cover it up, I can have bushy side burns as well and it worked pretty good. Some bald caps actually have longer strips but if not maybe you can use spare and extra piece or buy two, you can make little patches from the same material and just stick on.
