QSC K12 - **NEW** 1000" W Powered Speaker - Pro, Studio, DJ
Hey everybody, it’s DJ Ty from agiProDJ.com. Today we’re bringing you some information on the brand new K12 from QSC. From those of you who are not familiar with the K Series this is their brand new 1000 Watt, digital power amp matched series. Everything in the K Series, K8, K10 and K12 which are their two-way power boxes and the KSub which is a dual 12 all have matched amps. Matched 1000 W, digital amplifiers and their matched drivers, everything’s tuned. They all have the same top end, they have the same basic design for the drivers that are inside of them and this is the K12. This thing’s 41 pounds guys, nice plastic cabinet, 131 Db output on this, 51- 20K on the frequency response, this also has that tell-direct feature, make sure you do a search or check out our Youtube Channel, the freQSC tilt-direct and that’s at 7 ½ degree down and go feature that we showed you at the K10 earlier.
Anyway let’s go and flip this around at the back incase there’s first time seeing one of these. It’s got a 2 Channel Mix on the back, the A Channel which is set to line right now, I’ve got this XOR running through my mixer but it’s an XOR quarter inch noitric combo connector and then you also have an XOR pasters so you can daisy chain these together. But what’s really cool is since this is a two-channel mixer, you could have this switch to mic, have an XOR mic run in there or quarter inch mic in run in there for a microphone, set your levels on that. You could run an iPod or let’s say you got a CD player, anything, output from a laptop, computer, every music free program down there, you could set your levels on that as well. Have it all pre-mixed and then you’ve got this post-gain mixed line out so you’d be able to daisy chain this up to another or 4, you know altogether as many boxes as you really want, more K Series or any other power speaker for that matter. So it’s really cool, it’s got a built-in mixer section right in the back. For LAD’s you can set it so it’s just pretty blue or you can set it to limits so when you let say you’re in front of it, right it’s just set for the power. But you know let’s say you’ve got these in front of a house you’re in the back, and you’re mixing, you’re going to want some kind of visual indication and know whether you’re clipping up the amp and Lord knows how you’re going to clip out a 1000 W amp but it’s got an indicator to do it. And you can just turn it off, I say you don’t want that annoying blue light in your face, now it’s off. Pretty thing cool there, so it’s got just lay this indicators on the back because it’s a standby mode. It’s got another limit indicator; it’s also got the Blue Power LAD. High frequency, you can set it for Flat, it’s got a little Vocal Boost, little vocal bump on it and then you’ve got some different settings for the Low Frequency and right here you’ve got it set on External Sub because we’ve got this running with the KSub. You can set to normal and then that deep section in it would do in any just as to even turn it on here on the video. But it gives you that fatter lower end. So hey guys, this is wicked cool speaker, 41 pounds, killer sound, I mean 82 pounds for the speakers, 2000 W of juice and you’ve got yourself a portable sound system, couples of tripods, couple K12’s, throw them in your trunk, you’re good to go guys.
