Hello everybody, this is DJ Ty from agiprodj.com. Today we’re checking out the brand new Ksub from QSC, part of their K series. For those who are not familiar with these, the K series is our new thousand watt digital powered amp line of speakers. And this is the Ksub guys. The other K series are speaker boxes are all plastic case. The Ksub is wood. It’s a nice painted finished durable wood. I can see there’s no grill on the front of this because the Ksub is a dual 12 and a band passing closure. So these are not a direct radiating sub.
They’re actually in a fourth or third or enclosure back here and the speakers are a nice wonky angle. There are some cool engineering, some cool folds inside, folded horn and that gives you a really low-based sound and look how small this box is, 74 pounds, tuck them underneath of a table and imagine this guy just blow your mind. Do this underneath your table at your gig, two little K10s or 12s up on tripods, straight your table and you’re going to blow people’s minds, you’re going to where’s that sound is coming from because we’ve got 412-inch subs sitting there underneath your table running with 2000 watts of power. They are wicked cool. Huge props of QSC for this. They are generous enough to give you a pull, a pull amount of pull.
And not only is it, as you can see it’s not just as you know gem in there and we go all over the place for. It’s a nice sturdy threaded pull and I would have drop the K10 right on top of it just to see what they looked like. The K10, I can’t find it. So there you go, Ksub included pull K10 on top of it. Any of the three of them and you know any part of the speaker fit on top of there. So guys thousand watts, 74 pounds, wood enclosure, this things got some bad casters on the back of it. Super heavy duty, nice plastic casters, and let’s see let’s spin this all the way around. Maybe we can get in there with the camcorder enough just to see the inputs on the back. It’s very similar to the other ones as well, would have been more simple.
Again, you’ve got two sets of inputs here as well. Line A and then line B you can actually mix line B as well. Different modes got that normal mode and the deep mode that we talked about as well on the other K series boxes. You could set your pull there already. My phone is ringing, good Lord let’s turn that off. And you could also set the front LED status as well. You can set it through a power indicator, you can have it so it’s got a limiter, setting on it, some case you’re pushing that baby too hard, you can see if you’re back there mixing, you can see if you’re pushing that sub too hard and this is probably the one box that you’re going to run the risk of pushing too hard it’s going to be the sub. So you can have a limiter line on the front of it or you can just turn it off all together in that way you’re not going to see anything. It’s just going to sit in there and nobody is going to even know it’s there. Nice gain, the digital fan for the digital amp and your standard old locking IEC connector on the back, so this is the dual 12-inch Ksub from QSC. I’m DJ Ty from agiprodj.com.
