Male: Loudon Yukon can create a custom way form using the Ableton operator.
Loudon Yukon: So, first I want to make our basic sound. And I have operator open here it’s called Able and let’s hear the sound.
[Demonstration]
Loudon Yukon: So just simple sound wave with—envelope and it’s going off pretty quick, so it’s not really that interesting a sound just a sound wave and I want to make a little more reach I have little more interesting timbers so switch over to the oscillator section in operator here and I get this pencil icon I want you can see that it’s a sign wave and I want kind of draw my own wave form here at the right click and say. “Odds” and when you look at the add parcels and now it give me kind of a square wavy kind of sound which is a pitch starting point and I'm just kind of drop in and find the staccato out may say I get sort of this—here and—that
[Demonstration]
Loudon Yukon: Maybe it’s little to—try that.
[Demonstration]
Loudon Yukon: And be a little bit more the upper end which is kind of draw on some of these. That—
[Demonstration]
Loudon Yukon: Okay, so it’s an interesting sound.
Male: Dave from boyinaband.com shows just hot to make a Justi’s style electro bass line and reason.
Dave: So, right click tool make sure you are clicking tool. I'm going to create screen tool for the store sheet. Dave, where you go a bit distortion, but we want to play with the ring modulation, so if you stick this the damage type to modulate. You can see here it says, “Ring in frequency, the P1 and P2.” Now the quick explanation of ring modulation it’s technically it makes a notice vision of the input signal filters and compresses it then multiplies it by the original signal. That’s can give some hush brazening ringing effects. Now the P1 note here controls the ring which is the resonance supply to the filter, the filtered version of the signal. And the P2 you nope controls the frequency which suck hertz the filtered frequency after filtered version of the signal. Don’t worry, if you don’t understand that all you need to know is that you just get this awesome tone when it say it’s right. Go P1 at about five, eighths and take the P2 you note down just about a quarter not just get this nice distorted over tone to it. I’ve left the cotton buggy because nothing it sounds cool as that as it stanza and okay. Now lastly, will be bringing up the hush tone a bit more of the EQ so right click extreme four click create and get to M plus equalizer. Now I’ve done two things here, and to bring up the base and the little bit to not too much because the majority of this effect is actually in a kind of mid to high. And so we just want a little bit extra gain low in there, but the main thing we want here is if we cut pattern one or pattern two, and just tune up the game to about three quarters it’s in the Q right down until the frequency is around two kilohertz. And you can read it here though cutting through that kind of. So if you put that back in the mix.
Male: QStormItch teaches us the basic of E queuing using Ethel studio.
QStormItch: So let’s start just twicking the D fall here. What you’re seeing down here is the resulting curve after it’s gone through all of these different filters. Now you can change your filters right here. If you look up at the hint menu here you can barely see exactly what they are. The knots we have all the passage, etc. All kinds of fun, primarily though you’ll lead it on the picking, so you can coil it up and down, etc. Now here we can adjust the frequency of any of these and the bend with make it narrow or very wide.
