Audra: Welcome back everybody time for Hot Topics and I’m joined by Jeff Wilser,
author of the Maxims of Manhood. All things men, this guy can talk about, right?
Jeff: Absolutely, take it the least.
Audra: Take it the least. Alright, AOL personnel’s had an article and they’re talking
about the top 10 reasons why a guy doesn’t call you, You always hear women
complaining about, you know, “I got his number, he was really cute, we we’re
vibbing at the club and he never called.” And now where hearing from the male
perspective so to speak, we’ve love to know what you think. One other things that
they said was guys just collect numbers for self-esteem, to see how many numbers
they can collect. You know guys do this, right Jeff?
Jeff: Sure guys do this, and I’m sure also girls the same thing from her perspective but
I think the bigger issue is really that there is in the article mentions there’s a little
bit, a kind of social awkwardness. Let’s say for an hour, you’re vibbing, you’re
flirting but maybe you’re not really interested in the girl or vice versa but you
don’t know how to end the conversation. It’s only not tactful when you say,”Okay
it was fun flirting with you for an hour, goodnight, get home safely, God speed.”
That’s kind of weird. So, it’s a little more natural to say, “Here’s my number.”
Audra: Are you obligated to say that?
Jeff: Yes. It’s almost like a handshake goodbye. “Here’s my number, what’s your
number?”
Audra: So he may not really just be that into you, right, it’s just saying that’s just because
at the end. Go ahead.
Jeff: Well I will say though that for every guy who doesn’t call, there’s also a girl who
doesn’t call back.
Audra: That’s on the list too here because a lot of guys are saying, “You know what I’m
afraid to give her my number because a lot of girls don’t even call me back so
why am I going to burn myself again and have that situation?” That’s a chance
you have to take though. It happens with women, too.
Jeff: You have to get out there. Right. I just don’t buy this guy not calling back thing or
girl calling back thing. I think it’s a people thing. I think we all, men and women,
we put a little out there a little bit, we kind of get skirmish and afraid and so the
guy might be like, “She was kind of not interested. I don’t know if she’ll call me
back,” and vice versa.
Audra: And also you don’t know she’s giving the right number or not, you know?
Jeff: I’ve been there. I thought we had a great time in a bar, we talked for hours. She
gave me her number, I call her back the next day, and I get some other random
girl, “Who is this?” So, we’ve all been there.
Audra: But now guys get smart, you’ll give the number and then they’ll sit there call the
number right there.
Jeff: Right back right. It’s kind of awkward, gushy moment because, what do you hope
to gain from that? Because if she gives you the right number, you feel kind of tool
for like questioning her integrity. If she gives the wrong number, it’s really
awkward, you’re like, “Okay, so you lied to me, I’m going to home now.”
Audra: I remember when I was dating a guy did that to me once before I was like, “You
are a stalker and you are crazy, I ‘m leaving you alone.” Because if you have to
do that right there on the spot, something’s not right and if other women have
given you the wrong number, maybe I should do.
Jeff: Because have a little more confidence.
Audra: Right. Well somebody that will be calling you back is the owner and creator of
this new yacht. I got to hold this up, it’s on the Rob report. And this is the
proposed new yacht.
Jeff, do you have a $150M to spare? Just take a look, now, you know, this looks
great from the front here, but I’ll show you the other page too. The president,
CEO and founder of Wally’s Yacht said that his latest project isn’t just a yacht,
it’s actually a floating island.
Here, let me turn the page here. Its 190 feet long, 10,000 square feet. It’s in Italy,
claims it can make four crossings across the Atlantic, no need for maintenance
whatsoever. Like I said, 150M. Inside, room for 12 guests, 20 crew members,
there’s 3 levels, there are literally like chairs out there. This is not a house, this is
a mansion.
Jeff: This is tough economy and so the housing market stuff, but the yacht market is
great apparently. So it’s having a hard being a mortgage, I suggest getting a yacht.
Audra: Yeah, we’ll all be living on this yacht together, though. So we’re paying the rent
together. Good to have you back, Jeff, thank you so much. Alright, send us a
message on Twitter too BTVHostAudra. We’d love to know what you think and
stay with us, we’ll be right back
