Mihaela Coman: Driven by the desire to be recognized as founders of an environmentally responsible enterprise, Genevieve Dumas and Genevieve Flageol have created clothes and accessories made from recycled material. So what's your philosophy? Genevieve Dumas: To give another life to something that people give us. Genevieve Flageol: To change life and make it happy. Mihaela Coman: You are here with WatchMojo.com. My name is Mihaela Coman, I'll be your host and I'll be introducing you to these two designers. Now why did you choose ecodesign as oppose to, for example, high-fashion and so on? Genevieve Flageol: Because it was another way to express ourselves. We can create crazy things with that. Mihaela Coman: Using 70% of recycled garments, they take old clothes and redesign them. Their creations are very unique and can even be perceived as works of art. So we are in the silk-screening workshop and I am just going to ask you a few questions about the process. Genevieve Flageol: It begin with silk-screening. We make some design or a fantasy design. Genevieve Dumas: And after that, I have to integrate the print because we don't like to just put some silk-screening and after that it's finished. We like to work a lot with our machine. Mihaela Coman: I heard that you guys not only use clothes, you use everything like -- I heard birth control pills. Is that true? Genevieve Dumas: Yeah it's true. We do fun with accessories. So our accessories are always a little bit crazy. We can have birth control; we can have credit cards, we do our things with vinyl, with everything we like to give another life. Genevieve Flageol: We still do art but in another canvas. Mihaela Coman: Is it hard to balance the eco side of this and the business side of this? Genevieve Dumas: Definitely, in the eco fashion because we can only do like one clothes at a time. If we want to set it a lot, there is no boutique that's going to say, okay, I am going to buy 20 t-shirt but it's not going to be all the same. Mihaela Coman: Well, thank you very much.
