Male: Welcome to the Sunday night Shooters edition of common Man cocktails, this is the Fourth of July edition because this is a technically come out on the 5th of July. But we’re partying hard because typically, I mean why stop on Fourth of July, right. Now, if your not hangover, what you can think about doing it something a little sweeter, a little patriotic. Let’s stick with the patriotic theme. We’re going red, white and blue. We’ve got white. We’re going to use peach schnapps. This is gong to be a Pousse-café layered drink, three layers. Grenadine so we get the sweetness factor. We’re going to use some blue curacao. We’re almost done with this bottle. I got another downstairs. Don’t worry there’s going to be more blue curacao in the future just in case anybody is worried. Actually, you told me to buy it and look like you were right on and of course your always right. We’re going to do grenadine, peach schnapps, blue curacao, that’s the way it layers. This stuff is sticky so ‘m going to put it over here. God!
Let’s get going. We’ll put ion the grenadine now, just stuff it right in here. That’s should do it, nice sticky grenadine put that off to the sides so we’ve got our grenadine. That’s very impressive then we’re going to the peach schnapps and we’ll do that by doing a nice little pretty layer. I hope it should layer if it doesn’t I’m going to be angry. And you won’t see the white necessarily, still white I guess. That’s freaky. That’s really freaky. I finally did this one but it doesn’t but it doesn’t look familiar to me now. I got lost in all my recipes. Be careful with the blue because we don’t want the blue to blend in too much because I don’t ruin it. Of course, I can’t see the outcome. There we go.
I think we’ve pulled it off. It's hard to tell. Oh yeah, that’s beautiful an area at the same. Something tells me, I picked a different recipe when I tried this because it was not like this. It's really—I’m going to say red, clear and blue. It's white—you put at behind something white but what it really looks like, it's kind of neat. It's got the red and the blue are completely separated. Ts almost like to floating in an air. This is like a magic trick. We should get on now. We should go to Vegas.
Female: Yeah, sure.
Male: Ready for this one? Consider I don’t recall this pattern before. Maybe I forgot to test this. I have no idea what’s going to taste like but it's going to be sweet, alright. It's probably going to be really sweet. I’m going to get diabetes over this. There we go.
Actually, that is really good. I think the trick here is that the grenadine is not overwhelming. I thought grenadine moisture is going to be real, I admit it its sweet. It's super sweet, no doubt. But the flavor is tend to—they pair really well and that’s kind a rare for a drink that’s made specifically for a—well, not specifically but obviously it fits the holiday. The whole red, white and blue. we’ve got the red, white and blue. So a lot of this drinks, people make to look a specific way. The taste is secondary but this has great taste in this. I’m going to blame the peach schnapps because peach schnapps with a little bitter orange and some Thai fruit, those corn syrup. Blows your mind, it's perfect, its exactly what I wanted is pretty, it fixed the season, the time, the holiday and it's good.
So, that’s your drink for today. I’m your host derrick Schommer for Common Man Cocktail, we’re teaching you how to drink.
