Ashley: Hi welcome to watchmojo.com. I’m your host Ashley and if you’re looking for a new foot ware with a little bit of edge, Reebok has just that. They have everything from the colorful high tops to the pump technology.
Can you tell us a little bit about the new collection for the freestyle?
Christopher: Yeah, definitely. When we started this year for spring, we’ve come out with this narrow world tour pack and the freestyle high. Freestyle high is on of the more popular shoes in women per culture now. We’ve come out with two shoes, one is the Tokyo and one is the freestyle Paris. One is mapping the Tokyo subway system and the other one is mapping kind of the Paris culture built into a freestyle shoe.
Ashley: Any new technology for the freestyle?
Christopher: No. Freestyle is just upper synthetic leather with full base foam. It was conceptualized as and aerobic shoe and the mid 80’s but now its kind of gone a little more with the freestyle, kind of another thing what Reebok’s kind of implementing the fashion needs function.
Ashley: Can you tell us a little bit of the men’s per culture collection?
Christopher: As you see the men’s per culture well definitely reflects a lot of bright color a lot of pop getting ready for spring summer once again. Men are intending to lean towards a lot of brighter colors it’s not the standard conservative shoe for the men anymore. We’ve definitely branched out and got ourselves some great silhouette.
The sport culture wall, what it does is it takes older silhouettes of foot wear that were used in the mid 80’s as actual function running shoes and kind of take in that base of the shoe right now and created a sport culture fashion shoe.
Ashley: And since it’s called sport culture, sport meaning more technology than the women’s?
Christopher: Definitely, one thing that would Reebok definitely is that we haven’t left out the whole technology part of the shoe. As you can see Hex Ride was definitely a huge technology for the Reebok in the 80’s so right now we still incorporate the questioning in the shoes so not is it a fashion shoe that looks great at the same time, it also feels great on the feet.
The Reebok pump was conceptualized in 1989 a huge, huge impact in the sport role and at the same time, you can incorporate it to lot of our fashion shoes giving it that retro feel but still with that functionality in the shoe at the same time.
Ashley: Can you tell us a little bit about the new men’s collection for life style?
Christopher: Definitely. What we’ve done this season right now coming for spring is we’ve brought back the pump bring back pack. What it does is it takes all the old pump shoes from the late 80’s and the late 90’s and bringing them back with a lot of new funky pop colors. Keeping it fresh and also keeping it a little bit retro at the same time.
This is one of the models that we carry right here, it’s exclusive to us; it’s called the Court Victory Pump Elephant. So what the pump does is it has an airbag built into the tongue of the shoe giving it a more of a custom fit. Reebok has always been about custom feet in our foot wear and we’d like to keep that program going through all the way to the foot wear that you see now.
Ashley: Can you tell us about Reebok’s new running line?
Christopher: What we’ve done this year is we’ve taken a lot of the pulpier colors that we have in the foot ware and incorporated it into our running line. Always keeping custom to that custom fit from Reebok, we’ve come out with a new technology in our foot ware called KFS kinetic fit system. As you can see its an elastic material built in the fore foot of the shoe therefore once again creating a little bit more of a custom fit also to go along with the DMX foam cushioning in heel and forefeet of the shoe, it gives a great absorption of the foot and also protects the feet because feet is very, very important, it always starts from the feet up.
