Ashley: Do you have any apparel that ties into the footwear?
Christopher: What we’ve done is a creative line of apparel with actual silver embedded into the apparel. Its completely seem less where there is no stitching on the inside.
Silver does two things with our apparel, it makes it anti bacterial and also at the same time always keeps the consistent temperature in the body so what this does at the same time is while your cool it keeps you warm and when your warm it keeps you cool.
Ashley: With the skateboarding culture becoming more and more popular, does Reebok have any apparel that’s specifically directed to skate boarding?
Christopher: I have four styles in the skate. But we’re starting of with a DGK footwear. DGK stands for Dirty Ghetto Kids its an actual skate line created by Stevie Williams a skateboarder based on at Philadelphia who’s actually a very, very influential skateboarder right now. Tying in with this apparel line as you can see a little bit more funkier a little bit more fresh than the standard apparel.
Ashley: Is there any technology to back up your skate shoes?
Christopher: Well definitely once you get like I said sync consistent with our technology in our foot wear. We’ve definitely incorporated the pump into the footwear creating the tongue making it a little bit fatter so that in case of doing kick flips or ollies while you’re skating you have the protection and the tongue protecting the inside of the foot.
Ashley: With your new jockey jerseys on the market, what is the difference in the old and the new jerseys?
Christopher: Well the new jerseys are definitely kind of a little bit slimmer, definitely gives you a little bit more of a custom fit for the players, we’ve changed the neck line of the jersey also, we’ve created a bit of a V-neck incorporating the play drive into the V-neck. Once again and also at the same time, they just look a little bit nice and they kind of changed the cuts on the jerseys and incorporate more of color in different places.
Ashley: And is there a specific shoe for the pink ribbon collection?
Christopher: Well Reebok has done this series we’ve sort of a heavy collaboration with Avon and supported the breast cancer percent. We’ve created a full entire package going along with the pink ribbon color, with the pink ribbon actually on the tongue. Everything is designed just for women. You will not find a model for men it’s a little big narrower in the hill, a little bit wider on the forefoot and also built in a curved last going according more toward women’s feet so it’s once again, it’s a women specific shoe going towards going to women’s specific product.
