Okay. Recently, I showed you how easy it was to take out a window in preparation of getting ready to put a brand new window in. Well, putting a new window in is a little harder, but it is not too bad if you follow a few easy steps.
Now, one of the things to realize is a glass is very heavy. You can hardly move around the big window like this if the glass is in place. So start the process by taking the paint of glass or the sachets out of the frame. Once it is out, now you can move the frame about pretty easily. The thing you want to do then is make sure you take the window frame over, gently tilted into place and then we are going to start the process to make sure that the frame is level on the bottom and the sides are plum.
Now, once you get it roughly and place with some shims holding it there, then you will go ahead and pop with the last back in. Now, why is that? Because the frames, the sachets actually will helps square up the window. Go ahead and put all the paints back in, check along the bottom of the windows to make sure that the reveal is the same and then get ready to go ahead and nail it. Use some long 10 to 12 penny finish nails in through the side of jams. You need to put at least three per side, check the mini factors specification for nailing.
Now, what you are going to go ahead and do is pack installation along the sides, bottom and top of the window and then you finish out the outside with some special tape to stop air and filtration. Yes, you will see. You will just put this magic tape on, follow a few easy steps and put it window as not as hard as you might think. Just take your time, follow the instructions, all will go well.
