This is Fommy.com, thanks for tuning in. and today’s video is all about replacing your 8100, 8300, or 8800 series Blackberry track ball. So if your track ball is sticking or damaged or not working at all, replacing it is really simple and easy. All you’ll need is a small flat head screw driver and a replacement track ball and ring.
So take your screw driver. Place it underneath the ring of the track ball and gently pry it up. And to remove the track ball, just flip your Blackberry over, give it a little tap and your track ball falls right out. Now if you take a closer look of your replacement track ball, you’ll see that there are clips to two sides of the track ball. And you want to place these clips on the right and left of your Blackberry and not up and down. And then you want to give it a gentle push down to secure in place. And if you take a look at your replacement ring, there are three sets of notches and one side of the ring without. Now the side of the ring without notches should be place at the top of your track ball and give it a little push down. And your track ball should be in perfect working condition.
