This month on Travel Bytes we visit New York City. Hey everybody, welcome to another exciting addition of Travel Bytes. I am Kevin Flynn. Now this week on Travel Bytes we are in the Big Apple, New York City. We are going to start things off with little breakfast. When you think of New York, you thinking breakfast, you thinking Bagel's; that my neighbor Mr. Sidmon use to say, start everyday with your Bagel.
There are so many choices here, they are not just plain Bagels. There is onion, and pumpkin, they have got salad, or whole wheat, sesame, poppy seed. My favorite Cinnamon and Raisin, little bit of butter. Cinnamon and Raisin, so many Bagels, so little time. Thank you.
It's a great way to start your day in New York City, it's with a hot coffee and a New York Bagel. Bagel making traditions go all the way back to the 1880's here in New York City. Nobody represents that tradition, better than H & H BAGEL's.
You know lunch time in New York is always an adventure, so many choices. But if you have the time, check out Serendipity. Oh, these sundaes are huge. Now if you go to Serendipity for lunch, when you found the crowd, you found it. They have all kind of great sandwiches, great burgers, huge sundaes, and I am going in for one of their famous frozen hot chocolates.
You know what, New York is filled with places to get something quick to eat. I love the pizza. If you get enough things on top of your pizza, you cover all four food groups, and no body does pizza, better than Ray's.
Alright, we had a great day of food New York City. We have the Hot dogs, the Pizza, but now it's dinner time, and now it's time for Sammy's Restaurant. One of the kind of waiter service, it's the blast that kids will love it and the portions are humongous, come on.
I am enjoying my chicken liver, but you know what, as soon as you come into Sammy's it's unbelievable. People are having a good time, there's live music, huge portions of food, we are never going to finish any of these. I am going to stop before my entrée comes.
This is what Sammy's is all about. Huge Steaks, you like wedged potatoes, and here we have the mashed potatoes with the onions and we have our mashed potato mixture here, it's name is Peri Pepper double mashed potatoes, and now is the slow dance. Right, it's an egg drink time, it's an old school New York drink called an Egg Cream. This is older than you, me all of us put together. There's little Seltzer water, we are about to make a bit of a mess here. Real chocolate syrup boxes you bet, chocolate syrup. Wow, it's been a great stay in New York, a great way to finish it off. Delicious.
We hope you've enjoyed this version of Travel Bytes, until next time, I am Kevin Flynn.
