Review of the Sony Vaio VGN NW150J
Hi I’m Jessica with TopTenREVIEWS. Here I’ve got the Sony Vaio VGN NW Laptop.
The first thing you’re going to see on this Laptop is of course its 15.5-inch LCD Display. This Vaio utilizes Sony’s XBRITE-ECO technology which will extend your battery life.
The wide screen aspect ratio in this Vaio gives you an abundance of room for creating documents and surfing the web. The screen has a respectable viewing angle as well. It’s really good for two people watching video but any more than that will cause you to move too far from the center and get a glare.
The island-style keyboard on the Vaio is spacious and relaxed. This somewhat reminisced in to the old Apple MAC book. However, for some with smaller hand, it can be somewhat awkward. The keys are flat and springy but there is no 10 keypad. But, you’re not going to miss out unless you’re an accountant or a programmer.
The Vaio’s textured touch pad offers just the exact amount of resistant but it’s very unique. I actually haven’t felt this on too many laptops. The race touch pads for left and right clicking are well designed and well placed and I really did liked that feature
The Vaio has a normal amount of connectivity options that you would expect from a laptop of this size. On the right side of the system, you’ll get a Blu-ray Drive plus two USB 2.0 ports, headphone and microphone jacks up front and you’ll see two Memory Card Readers and a WiFi Switch. And on the left, you’ll get an additional USB port, VGA, HDMI, Firewire, 400, Ethernet and an Express Card 34-slot.
What’s nice about this particular version of the VAIO is that it has an HD out-port. This allows you to hook to your TV or other display with an HDMI to steam your content. Now to get the full 10 ADP experience, remember that the Vaio will have to be connected to an HD TV.
This model retails for about $800. That’s a pretty excellent value and it’s one of the least expensive laptops with an integrated Blu-Ray Drive. Now but if you are not in the Blu-ray, I wouldn’t recommend this to be your first choice but a Blu-ray is definitely what you want, then this computer is a great choice.
