Riding a Bike and Lower Sperm Count

Scott: Hi! My name is Scott from Toronto. My question is riding a bicycle's hard seat lower my sperm count?

Randall Meacham: You know, Scott, I am not surprised you asked that question because a lot of a tension has been given now to the effects men's health of riding bicycles, especially if they are going to be in the saddle or riding the bike for a long time.

There is no reason that I know of to be concerned if they are riding a bicycle, even with a firm seat would have an affect on sperm count. There have been some concerns that prolong use of bicycles, especially, the narrow or harder seats may have an effect sometimes on the ability we achieved in the erection, there is a concern that it may have a damaging effect on nerve or blood supply. So I would say if you experience numbness in the genital region then consider getting a softer seat or one of the special seats that has a cut out so it doesn't put as much pressure on your pelvis.
