Hey! It's John again. Today I want to show you have to play the song Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash and I have a trumpet with me. I do on my guitar and I can show you how to play the trumpet part on my guitar, so it actually sounds pretty good. So let's get started.
Here I do what it sounds like first. So that gives you a rough idea of how the song is going to sound. Let me just through it and show you exactly what I am playing. I am strictly playing two strings, my D and G maybe five times. And that's the first part of the trumpet line of the song. Then I take my third finger, I hammer down only on one of the strings, to my D string fourth fret. And then I play them both open, got the A there, then hammer back on the A. Then I play the strumming pattern or I added just a strummed low chord.
And then comes the next part, play the A note from one finger again. This time I put -- I got to the A string, put my third finger on fourth fret. You can play both the A and B strings, just like that. And then I am going to actually sort of play an E here, then I will play -- I am actually just going to take this, this first finger here and go. Cover the A and B strings, playing both again and then open. Open A string that actually I am still going to keep the second fret of my B string properly.
And then when I am go to chords to do sort of walk down, open A, fourth fret of the B, second fret of A, open A. When I do open A on that, I should go right in B chord and then the next chord of course is the D and A. So that's actually although more not really complex, but little, slightly more interesting and I guess picking when I do and everything is just smooth. So if I were singing and playing the song, it sounds like this.
