Roboduino Demo in the Chase-Bot.

Male Speaker: This is the demo of the Roboduino a free duino or a duino compatible board. Here is the brain on this Chase-Bot a robot that scans the horizon and then moves towards whatever is closest. This simple Bot has two drive servos that are modified to turn continuously and one scanning servo on which a sonar base distance sensor is mounted. It's called PING and it is made by parallax. The main advantage of the Roboduino is its collection of extra headers that make it easy to attach battery packs, standard servos and sensors and serial devices.

Here you can see the power header which duplicates the barrel jack, each digital output has a neighboring power in ground pin that accepts standard servo connectors. The pins mark PWN have power directly from the battery while the other digital pins have regulated 5 volts. In this picture on circles are the unregulated power pins and red 5 volt pins. The analog pins also have adjacent 5 volt and ground headers. If you're not familiar with Arduino it's an extremely easy and fast board and software package for making programmable electronics. Here are some example code that controls the servo, just initialize the servo object, attach a pin to it and write a value between zero and 180.
