Erik: Hey! Everyone, welcome to another informative episode of your FX. It’s like Backyard FX except to tutorials come from you and also we include some limited messages to control your mind, just kidding about that last part. Our first tutorial shows us how to make a bionic arm. It’s a classic BFX style build and was sent in by Josh Dy.
Josh: We are going to show you how to make one of this, a bionic hand. One rubber work glove, one empty bleach container, box cutter, one dryer hose, hot glue gun, twisty Gatorade cap, duct tape, 6 ft of miscellaneous wire, brown and silver spray-paint.
First, you are going to want to take your washed out bleach container and you use your box cutter to cut right around to the handle. Go outside and spray paint that silver and cut a hole out for your hand. I had gloats and gold spray-paint at bottle caps on for some miscellaneous buttons and knobs. Then, I spray painted the rubber part of my work glove a bronze tone. After that, I hot glued the glove into the hole out we cut out of. This part is just the Gatorade twist cap that is pre-painted gold and then I cut up our six foot wire and glued it on the base of the glove. In that way, it ran up my arm and looks like some sort of wire. And don’t forget about the dryer host
Erik: I laugh every time I watch that. Josh, we’re going to send you a free Indy Mogul t-shirt. In fact, anyone who submits a tutorial that is feature on your FX is going to get a free Indy Mogul t-shirt. So for all you shirt list DIY film makers out there, pass on your knowledge and make a one to two minutes video and submit it to indymogul.com.

In the fine tradition of Backyard FX you guys are also sending in some awesome tutorials teaching us how to make film making tools. Here is Nick Koch showing us how to make an awesome lighting set up.
Nick Koch: What I did was I made may own lighting kit. I also made light reflectors and bond doors all for cheap. Okay first, the light reflector $16.00, one wind shield sun shade $5.00, seven one foot PVC pipes $ 1.39, one connector $0.19, four elbows $1.56, one key joint $0.49, one anklet $0.39, and a bunch of belt crow $7.00. Connect the pipes together using the elbows. Put the key joint on the top and anklet their on the bottom. Put your last pipe in the T-joint and put the anklet on the end put the crown one side of the sun shade to any fold it over, it all stick. Let the three strips of belt crow to hold the stand then strap it on.
Now the lighting rig, one wind shield sun shade $5.00, one fluorescent light $10.00, one crow hanger, one belt crew $7.00, and one boom like stand $20.00. Cut the sun shading in half and belt crew the two end clips down. Put the strip of belt crow around the back and the back of the light. Punch a hole in each end on both flaps and put belt crow under each hole. Bend the crow hanger and cut into two equal pieces. Fit the cut crow hanger into the two holes and belt crow the ends down. Then test light to the barn doors. Set the light on the joint and fold the clip down over the wire then attach your clamp foot to the joint so that having a full light behind you with the reflector and two of the light rig, it creates a very even light.
Erik: All right, that’s it for another episode of your FX but before we go I want to tell you about an Indy Mogul Oscar event where you get to pick the winners. Go to this link www.IndyMogul.com/Oscars to vote and find out how you can win a Blue Ray player. I don’t need and have a Blue Ray player.
