Not an ACMG-approved belay technique, which should be standard in all Canadian climbing gyms. Right hand came off the rope in preparation for lowering, and during the taking in of slack, the brake hand never moved into the down (or locked) position. Please get REAL instruction on belaying, rather than following this video as a guide.
