Hi this is Mike Callahan, Fr. File Finder with a special ten-part butterscotch.com tutorial on Winamp Media Player. This is part one. And this is going to be primarily an overview of Winamp.
Winamp first came out it was known as a lean mean media player, then was eventually purchased by America Online. Since then, a lot of things have been added to it. It has features for playing of your local audio, your Mp3 files and so on that are on your computer, lets you play video, keep track of the things you play most, things that were recently added, things that were recently played, things that were never played, your top rated media, lets you play remote media to a feature we’ll talk about later, Winamp Remote, you can create playlists, you can use auto online services like SHOUTcast radio, SHOUTcast TV, AOL videos and radios. There are subscriptionists to podcasts, create bookmarks, chord CDs, that’s so much more. You can even change the way Winamp looks.
So, Winamp is a completely full-featured media player. This is the part one of our special ten-part series.
