Hi, this is Mike Callahan, Dr. File Finder. Welcome back to part two of our special ten-part series on Winamp Media Player. Now our part two, we’re going to look at organizing our music in Winamp. So with Winamp open, we’re going to click at playlists.
Playlists are great way to organize your music exactly the way you want so you that you can hear it the way you want. So with playlist highlighted, we’ll right-click. You can see – we can create a new playlist. We can import one from a file, from the current playlist, from a folder. And we can also sort the playlist alphabetically or by the number of items.
So we’ll click New. Window comes off in here, we’ll to say Test, not very original but it works for me. Now we want to add some songs. So I’ll click Audio, and I move down in here. Winamp makes it amazingly easy to add song, pick a song that you like. You’ll know that you get information down here, videos that are on YouTube and so on, that you can go to right from Winamp which is a cool feature. We’ll right-click. We’ll go to Sent To. Now if we move across, you can see – here are the playlists so that you can add it to the one we just created or any of the other existing ones. Click that and now that song is in the Test playlist.
You can take your playlists and burn them to CD easily by highlighting the playlist. Right-clicking, going down the Send To again, moving down to CD Burner On, it’ll have the drive letter of your CD or DVD burner. You could also do the same thing with the most played, most recently added, top rated and so on.
So, Winamp makes it easy for you to organize your music into playlists and then put those playlist on CDs. That concludes part two and that’s all there is to it.
