What you’re looking at here is the latest in technology from Rockwell tools in reciprocating saws. Hi my name is Mark Donovan from HomeAdditionPlus.com and here, we talk a little about they key feature and benefits of this particular saw.
A reciprocating saw is ideal for making a tough-angled cuts or top-positioned cuts and it’s also great for cutting all types of materials such as wood, metal or plastic or aluminum and any other types of applications. What’s really neat about this particular product is it’s got this viber-free technology. And what that means is it basically cancels the vibration that’s normally following in reciprocating saws. And as a result, you can make a clean and much more accurate cut compared to the conventional vibration-canceling technology that’s out there. Some of the really nice key features with this particular product is that it’s got a piston grip. In addition, it has a nice grip here on the side of the blade or tool. In addition, you can adjust the depth of the cut that you’re making by just pushing in this little lever here and moving the foot pedal up. In addition, the pivot pedal can be easily rotated with your hands to cut from about a 90-degree angle to about a 45-degree angle. Another key event of this particular Rockwell reciprocating saw is that it has a variable speed control from zero to 3,000 strokes per minute. Typically, when you’re using a reciprocating saw, you want to start out in a slow strokes per minute rate. And then as you get further into the material, you pull hard on the trigger and increase the strokes per minute rate.
One of the really need features with this Rockwell reciprocating saw is it’s tool-free in terms of inserting new blades. All you need do is lift up on this level here and slide the blade in, and down, and the blade is locked. Just make sure that the reciprocating saw is unplugged before doing any type of adjustments on the reciprocating saw. Also, there’s a switch here for controlling the orbital motion of the saw blade itself. It has setting from zero to three: zero, for cutting very thin type of material and one or two, for hardness or thicker type of material products that you’re cutting.
Another neat feature about this Rockwell reciprocating saw is that it has an onboard light to really aim where you’re cutting. A nice thing about reciprocating saws, there’s a variety of blades available on the market for almost any type of application. Here, we have this long blade for cutting wood. We have a shorter blade for cutting metals. We have fine teeth. And then we have a blade here for cutting aluminum. There are additional blades for cutting plastic, for even pruning or trimming trees. When it comes to using any type of power tool, it’s always important that you first read the user manual very carefully. Particularly when you’re using reciprocating saw, you really have to exercise a lot of safety. There’s a long blade on here that’s fully exposed and if you’re not careful, you’ll lose a finger or hurt somebody. So make sure you particularly that you read all the safety instructions in the manual first. Always wear a pair of a lot of protection and would necessary to wear a hearing protection, is some cases, even a mask. In addition with power cord related saw, you definitely make sure that they’re unplugged before you do any type adjustments to the saw itself, so generally and inadvertently pull the trigger and cut yourself.
So if you’re in the market for a reciprocating saw, I’d have to suggest taking a look at Rockwell’s liber-free reciprocating saws. Their active canceling technology removes about up to 70 percent vibration in the saw compared to the conventional vibration-canceling technologies and other products. It has the features in the power that you could possibly need. So do you have other home improvement questions? Visit us at HomeAdditionPlus.com today.
