Rodrigo y Gabriella Guitar Lesson Rodrigo Y Gabriella “Atman” A tribute to Dimebag Darrell Guitar World Rodrigo: Well we just both were super fans regardless of what happened to him we’re going to attribute some time you know some day. He’s pretty in— able and when we were growing up it was very important that Panthera came out at that time. We had our metal band going on and Metallica had gone very commercial with the black album when the— came out and that kind of gave some hope to the metal community. And it was a good time, it was the rest piece mega album coming out and he was guitar normally kind of normally music is so Diamond Back was very important because he actually came out with stuff that nobody used to do you know what I’m saying and to come up with stuff like in there— you know after so many years that’s something new that little thing was incredible. Now I met a lot of musicians that did meet him. Did you met him? Male: I never met him. Rodrigo: But I mean everyone is just it’s so good about him you know it’s like he was great guy and a great person and the little addicts call me. That’s why one of her heroes and he’s a guest in this track. He was very excited of doing it because of the same reason and he had met him a few times before and like I said a sweet guy like he was a sweet guy and he was very excited and yeah I mean I think that’s a little contribution you know to give him thanks for all the inspiration. Gabriela: When he came to our studio and he asked us please tell me what to do I don’t know, he didn’t listen to the track 5 minutes before he recorded so it was settled okay well let’s sit down with personally me and Rodrigo since were very young we loved to Alex Skolnic solos it does commit. We thought it was just outstanding musician and the solos compared to other metal bands so it was definitely. And one of our favorites in solos was from that album Testament Souls of Black Track and we said we liked that because if you can add something like he didn’t even remember like at all we had to... and then he listened and he was like yeah he doesn’t have a clue and then we said we also want some of the Diamond Back like oldies and crazy things and he said okay, okay. So we let them kind of work out with the music like 5 minutes and they were like are you ready and then that Rodrigo and Rodrigo produced the album so he was various with Alex and at the end he did an amazing solo you know. He did an amazing solo and before he recorded with we invocated Diamond Back. And I think he portrayed it and we are so happy with that track actually.
