Michael Callahan: Hi! This is Michael Callahan and doctor file finder and welcome to your butterscotch.com tutorial on VMware fusions unity mode. Now, I'm setting it here at my Mac and I've got VMware fusion running a Vista virtual machine and here I have it like you know window mode, so I can see the edges. Now if I want, I can put it in full screen mode, it's little -- there for Mac. And so, if you were setting here, you would swear you would have a Windows Vista laptop. Now, when I take it back, I have programs running in Vista, and here is Google Chrome.
So now I click unity and what would happen. I'm suddenly going to have Google Chrome on my Mac desktop. Here it is. No tricks, simply windows, programs right on your Mac desktop in unity mode. If I want, I can actually add Google Chrome to my doc because the Mac is smart enough to integrate the windows programs that are running in VMware fusion.
So, this is a really handy way to get the best of both worlds Mac and PC because I can minimize this program, I can pop it backup, if I want, I can go back into full screen mode in VMware fusion. Not when I click and Google Chrome that you see the VMware fusion menu appear. So, if I wanted to, I can exit unity mode and now we are back right where we started. So, this is VMware fusion's unity mode and that's all there is to it.
