Welcome to thedigitallifestyle.com video show. Take a bit of quick look at first impression of bringing windows seven on my Samsung Q1 UMPC. This run on windows vista would a bit of effort to run window vista is one of the older Q1s and as you see from these windows, seven actually surprisingly well. .This is the PDC entry builder for 2windows seven so the first thing you’ll see here is that the on screen keyboard. Because I have installed the drivers to enable the Q1 interphase drivers, the touch screen you got the on screen keyboards – that is the standard one but the use of the touch screen you can enter the keyboard.
So I’m going to enter my password but you will see as I touch the interphase, hold it down you got the right click. Very much like a same way as windows vista- you got the tap the input, you got to tap the input pass –on here or I can choose a keyboard and that can use a keyboard which is again a nice improvement over vista. Less it feels to performing well it’s you see it’s nice and fast, - I found the Q1 pretty much unusable before. And now with windows vista ;on it’s just really slow. Now this seems to be working quite nicely now you see the poster written about again the driver is installed so far from the sound working but everything else is working okay.
We’ve got IE8 on there, and of course we’ve got the windows media center. We’ve got a quite a useful without sound book it works. It can’t quite it to work in full screen if I put it into full screen we get a black screen and I think that’s a graphic show problem book running in a window. The media center is almost quite fine, so I can use the touch screen, the browser, media center. I don’t have any get any content in yet so there is not a lot to show media center. And I’ll do another video show about a bit details on windows media center in windows seven.
There’s an updated version of windows media player you find it a lightweight version really which it’s windows media player 12. And this has the library features like Michell Ivory’s drink bits on the home network which is something we can look at on the feature show. This is an eight so we can see pen flicks, so isn’t look really a good application you see the media center is trying i8.
So this is really i8 – smooth nice very fast so we’re okay. We’ve got windows media player in 12, let’s try to open up a few applications and we’ve got some media center and so look the I’m use a message in that. 651megs, so this is definitely better and its not possibly page on the time. Which I can find as a problem on vista, so that is a quick look at windows seven run it on a Samsung Q1.
The next challenge is to get 4:41 working in the future video we’re going to be actually using the media center on windows seven. Thanks for watching this video bye.
