Alright, this one is a big one.
A former empire of Eastern Europe in Northern Asia originally settled by slavs from the 8th Century, the region was a lot of conglomerate of independent principalities until Moscow gain ascendancy in the 14th, 15th and 16th Centuries. The empire achieved the height of its power in territorial under Peter the Great and Catherine the Great in 17th and 18th Centuries.
The early 1800’s where a period of reactionism and all those some of liberal reforms who affected in the late 1800’s discontent, remained and led directly to the revolutions of 1905 and 1970, an internal power struggle until the formation of the USSR in 1922.

Moscow is the capital and the population is a 143 Million.
Reprisal, there it is.
1. Retaliation for an injury with the intent of inflicting at least as much injury in return.
2. Forcible seizure on enemy’s goods where subjects in retaliation for the duration inflicted.
3. The practice of using political and military force without actually resorting to war.
