STK Bluetooth Stereo Headset - Tech Review
Welcome to DigitalLifestyle.com video show, today we’ll be looking at the STK Bluetooth stereo headphones and you’ll be pairing this up, try it with my Samsung QRUMPC which is running Windows 7. So, first I’m going to do, I’m going to un-box it, have a look at the actual headphone himself. So these are the actual headphones, they’re, like I said, the Bluetooth headphones. So they come with some Bluetooth controls, so we’ve got power button on here which actually called the multifunction button, so it just power and pairing and other stuff. There’s a forward and a back button for flicking through tracks, and the volume controls. And on this side, there’s no buttons, this adjustable headbands, say, and the actual feel them is quite nice, quite solid. So I already paired with the machine earlier, but I show you have one, I’ll show you how, how they work really, you can see on, you can see on the video button, this keyword has got no audio drive installed. So there’s no sound at the moment on, I turn on the phones. And that then pairs up with the, with the keyword you can see down here that the volumes on there. So now, I’ve got this paired up. If I press play, that will start the play back podcast, and if I hit the one function button, once to pause that, that should then paused it. Okay, see that I have to press it twice then I think one woke up the, the Bluetooth connection and then I hit that again, that should start playback, which is done. Hit pause, and that’s paused it, so like I said before I can control the volume up and down. Obviously one thing I can’t show you on the video is the sound quality, but the sound quality of this really got, what is really noticeable is the noise and that cancelling function, it’s not a special noise cancelling headphones or anything, it’s just that the padding is so, so thick, it really just cancels out everything else, so once you’ve got this on and you got some music playing, you really are isolated. In some case that’s good, if you’re in a noisy environment at all, you really want to get into the music, then that’s what you want. If you want something a bit background listening, not being alert of what’s going on around you, then, this aren’t ideal. But as far sitting back and listening to, to music there, definitely fantastic. So, like I said, I can control Windows media player through here, it doesn’t seem to work on like Youtube video or anything else. In terms of power, I put one of this for a couple of hours yet and I’m not had, had them ran out batteries yet. It does come with a little cable which you can plug in via USB and charge that up, so you have to check the plug for the battery life and I’m going to try and work it hard, it can actually, actually get with that. But they are really nice headphones, really great quality, they’re a lot, they’re more akin to sort of big headphones that you get. So they are very comfortable as well. The band’s fairly tight so they don’t feel loose, and it just work well with, with Windows media player, well of course you need a Bluetooth device, well some of key ones got Bluetooth, so that’s great. There are other solutions as well the if they’re heavy device now, Bluetooth, you can actually get a Bluetooth transmitter that’s got a headphone jack and you can actually put that in to something that isn’t Bluetooth enabled, pair it with this and then you’re away. The pairing process was nice and simple as well, it’s all the Bluetooth stuff. One other thing I just done as well is, I just connect this up to, I log it at Windows media center and it will control Windows media center as well. So the play button and the pause button, skip, back, forward tracks work. Now, I can’t seem to get the volume control working at the moment, but that did work when I try the other day, so I think that’s a quirk of Bluetooth. So overall, nice headphones, for price and details, check the blog and I really like this, I’m going to be using this for listening to music of… thanks for watching, bye.
