Host: What is the craziest experience that you have had on the job?
Martin Tétreault: Last year we had fire with 11 houses. When I got there, it was pretty crazy, the fire was spreading so fast that we didn't have time to do anything, and just had to protect the following houses. But the wind was a really big factor.
See the kids, where the owner is evacuating in the yard and going to go through the assembling point, as long as they are out there in the building, everything is fine for me. But you see it's long, because you have small babies, it's a big job for them, it's a lot of problems to evacuate a lot of kids. Sometimes you have more problems in evacuating an adult in the business, because they don't take it seriously, but the kids really have to regroup them, that's important.
Male Speaker: Good prevention is walk around and watch your life.

Host: Do you ever get afraid?
Martin Tétreault: You always have to be afraid because it keeps you in perspective to respective a fire. It's dangerous, a really dangerous job, but it's a calculated risk.

Martin Tétreault: Yes, concerning a daycare, it's perfect, because you have around 50 kids, so it's pretty good.

So every time you put the clocks forward or the clocks backward, check your smoke alarm and change the batteries.
