Today I want to speak to you about open and close questions. We all have heard about these open and close questions. We know a close question is good for leading. You would like to deal with a reputable supply, wouldn't you, and say yes or no, so they have got to answer yes, and you do the little doggy nod.
Open questions gets them to expand and talk about themselves. Then I would say to them, Mr. Jones, what's most important to you about choosing a training organization? If you are in engineering, Mr. Jones, what's most important to you in choosing an engineering organization? If you are choosing a life coach, what's most important to you in finding the right coach? You just keep quiet and let them talk. When they stop, you add, what else? You let them keep talking all the time.
So remember, when you go in the next time to use a lot of open and close questions to lead your clients.
