Well, how in the world am I going to sand this curve piece of wood? I know I will use a glass. Well, wait a minute that is not going to work. That is too smooth. Oh yes, this glass, it works a lot better. And what is this? These are new sanding blocks that are made out of recycled glass. 98% of the content of this is just basically regular old glass that you throw away in your recycling bins. Now how do they work? One of the neatest things I like about these new sanding blocks is the fact that they can form to the surface that you are sanding. So in trying to sand a curve surface like this, the more you sand some of the glass wears away and pretty soon before you knew it, the shape of the sanding block is exactly the shape of what you are sanding. Now guess what? They come in different types, different sizes, and different grits. Another words, if you have to do some course sanding within, you will use a course sanding block. If you want to get down to fine sanding, you will use a fine one. And guess what, best of all; they got a really great one that does rusty metal and it has got a course cutting surface, it even is orange colored to remind you that, that particular sanding block is for sanding rusty metal. Now these things work a lot better than sand paper and I will tell you why. Because sand paper when it goes over rough edges, sometimes it can tear. Sometimes it does not conform well to the surface. So if you have got a weird object that you have to sand, a different shape, consider using these sanding blocks.
