Hello everybody! Welcome to Wine Library TV. I am your host Gary Vaynerchuk, this my friends is the thunder show a.k.a. the internet. Most passionate wine program and we have a very awesome show. I like using awesome but then I am use it on this show because we are talking about two—that go hand in hand. I mean just absolutely, positively one of the great combos in the world, really relegated to Australia for a very long time, but I am excited, that we are doing the show today with no Australian Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon blends. Now we are doing one from South Africa, one from Washington State and one from California.
Sauvignon Blanc wines are very interesting. You get a lot of the aromatics of the Semillon, you get a lot of really interesting oiliness aspects from the Semillon. I was so – crispiness to cleanest together. They are just a dominant force, there is a lot of people, who feel that a part nor both nice wines but when they come together, they make amazing combo and so we got three wines here today, one of the low end seven bones, I am looking into something—wow! And then to that rolling at $19.00, you may notice what shows in them.
I am wearing the new vanernation wristband and I will be telling you very shortly how you can get one, it is going to be very, very cool.
Alright, let us zoom in start of with this bottle of the steam berg 2007 Sauvignon Blanc, they referred to this as Sauvignon Blanc but the other two they do not, but this does have 8% Semillon in it, and let us see what its got, only $7.00 very, very fair price. As we are still in the fall season, you know this white wine’s crisp grip with so many different you know styles of food definitely if you are in to the seafood word, shellfish these are some of best wine combos you can get. Let us give this wine a sniffy sniff.
Outrageously, grassy almost New Zealand like, it comes in a blind teasing, I would definitely go New Zealand right now so I will be tricked. Let us give it a little bit more sniff, heavy, heavy green peepers, I get English peas which I love so much, the inside of the English pea, when you eat the peas just the shell of it, get quite a bit of that. Definitely grassiness, the spicy like lemon kind of action—just really interesting.
Aromatically very good, already worth the price admission at $7.00. I can smell this wine all night and not be disappointed, let us give it a whirl.
Good! Really good! It is really natural wine alcohol—I think they get that out of the park. This is good guys! This is real good, this is very like lemon juice on top of grass, little grapefruit, little bell pepper, this is really good, I mean this reminds me of a lot of $12.00 to $15.00 New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, rivals a lot of the terrain—valleys Sauvignon Blanc type wines in the past. Now I am really getting a lot of Semillon action, it is a little proof percentage, but a very solid, under $10.00 wine. So much of, now I am going to score this wine 88 plus and I am going to highly recommend a lot of people to go out and try it, and this will be a huge homerun with a lot people. It is ambitious on the back and I am still tasting the finish, this really is one of the very exciting South African wines I am covering the show and it is seven box. I like it! I like it a lot.
Let us move on, it is a good start to the show. Cadaretta, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon from Colombia valley 2007 vintage. This wine is 73% Sauvignon Blanc, 27% Semillon, it is $19.00 and it is 90 point J. Miller, let us give it a rinse, it is also a very healthy sturdy bottles, so I am impressed with the packaging, a nice package. Give it a sniffy sniff, 19 bones. Very tropical in its approach of one of the back up power with a bunch of mangoes up my nose, mangoes and pears and a little bit of like a lemon. Do remember the now and later candies? I get a little bit of that coming through on the nose. That is a nice little throw back memory. Very tropical, very tropical in its approach. Also coming through it a little bit of like a graham cracker component.
So it is like a tropical spread if y
