Hi guys and welcome to today’s video blog. And I see it’s a weekend, I'm going to have a beer and taste it and tell you exactly what it’s like. Drinking a New Castle Brown Ale today which is a beer obviously from New Castle and it’s like ale. I'm going to see what it’s like. Really, really nice. It’s a little bit lighter than—I can see myself drinking quite a few. That’s really, really is very good. I think you can get it all over the world now, it’s become kind of trendy.
Now, today’s topic, recession, everybody it talking about recession, it’s doom and gloom, it’s the end of the world. That starts to really annoy me to be honest, because there are some positive things right now. If you’re running a company for example, all your competitors, they are in the same problem. So it’s not the end of the world, but saving money, right?
So I was in the supermarket and I'm used to shopping for like really rich people when I was working for them and I never really looked at the prices to be honest. So I just happen to look at prices today and seeing if we can see any bargains or anything that were crazy expensive. Downstairs from where I live, there is a supermarket. This type of mushrooms, washed mushrooms, normal button mushrooms, one euro thirty, right?
This type of mushrooms, sliced mushrooms, two euros eighty and all they are doing is literally sliced them like that. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous. I think it’s one of the things that people start to get rid off. I know that money is tighter. I think they’re going to shop differently. I have seen and read supermarkets like little places like that. Their profits and turnover are starting to sore because for too long, people have been able to buy whatever they wanted. And if that encourages people to go back to local farmers markets, stuff like that, bring it.
So you can see literally to slice these mushrooms, these ones are euro 50 more expense, slice them would take me one minute. So I was working out, if I slice mushrooms at one year and fifty a minute, that will be 90 euros an hour. So I'm going to go open a business just slicing mushrooms all day/. That’s my new job.
What else has happened? Oh yeah, just you can see, I put up the screen. We just loaded some videos in the times in the UK which is really, really exiting for our foods because it gets about bigger audience and they are along side people like Gordon Ramsey and Jamie Oliver right there. So that’s really, really exiting and I'm going to go and check mike. Apart from that, stay positive. The recession is not the end of the world. There’s still lots of good things happening. Cheers!
