Speaker: We just have to clean the mussels, make sure they are all closed. Use cold water. You have to scrub it out and put them in the bowl. See they are not opened, if you see them a little bit opened, what you can do is tap the shell. This one here, the one is a little bit opened, just tap the shell if it doesn't close. This one is still alive.
Hi, welcome here to another episode of free cooking videos. Today we are going to make Mussels Myorina, my version of Mussels Marinara. So what I am going to do first, I have got a hot pot, I have got some pasta here boiling. This will take about ten minutes. Cooking is to be, everything should be ready in one time. And we will take some olive oil, about 2 or 3 teaspoons is just enough to coat the bottom of the pan. Just coat around that. We are going to take 4-5 pods of garlic, one can of crushed tomatoes. Take a teaspoon of basil, teaspoon of oregano, teaspoon of both salt and pepper. Use the sea salt in the grinder, for a heart patient like, that is a good thing.
Now just let that simmer for about 5 minutes. Turn the temperature to like medium high heat. I am going to find a top to this. I get the top one, take care of the temperature. Once I set the temperature, what I am going to do is put about a half a cup of wine or beer. Because my mussels is nice and drunk, don't want to hurt them. Now we are just going to drop these mussels in here carefully, stirring around, we are going to put the lid on, turn up the heat. Let those mussels steam over, no more than 7 minutes on those. They will be cooked very quickly as well as they will all open up, we are in good shape.
Okay, it's been 5-6 minutes and we'll open up the lid, so we are going to turn off the heat and for your safety, and then we are just going to pour these right on this pasta that I had made in a bowl. That's it, nice Mussels Marinara/ Myorina.
