Seagate Free Agent Go 500GB – Un-boxing
Un-boxing of the Fry’5. Now I have with me my knife. Let’s see what it is. Okay, if you don’t know what, it is I just tell you right now, it’s a Free Agent Go portable hard drive. It’s a PC version of 500 gigabytes. It’s roughly three times or four times the capacity than my other hard drive which is the 120 gigabyte. It certainly well I just talk to my friend and hence, now this one can be sold tomorrow, I need one for myself so that’s why I bought this. Now, let’s un-box this.
One thing I don’t like about packaging that’s really hard to open. I hope that goes down here. I went through amazing usually plastic doesn’t go through on the first try. I like the packaging of my old hard drive which was just the cover box. This plastic box looks pretty cool but harder to open. Okay, I got it.
I think it’s enough for me just have to try. Whoa, my camera slipped. Sorry about that. I don’t think that went through. There you go it went through. I got it. I really don’t like the packaging and this is just plastic. God, this is hard. Why can’t they just make it a really simple flat cardboard box, easy to throw away and easy to open? I got the hard drive itself, nice black, sleek, flat color.
Here it is. Nice black color with the Seagate logo on top. I don’t think this has the yellow light, the orange light. Now, this one has the orange light. It shines right here the whole, entire black. This one I'm not sure, it’s thinner let say the last. Interesting, I think I can get that in view.
It’s often half the thickness. I think the housing of this drive was bigger the width and it’s almost kind of stream line but pretty thin. Here’s how it stocks up. So it’s roughly half thickness. I think it’s here. So, what else is in the box?
There's a quick guide on the box. I don’t think I need it. So, here's the guide. There you can go a quick so guide and small USB cable. Let me get the cable was the sticky tape on the back. Really short cable by the way, it’s really short. It’s roughly not that long. It can basically circumference the whole hard drive and that’s it. Yeah. I think it’s the circumference the whole hard drive. They’re using a very small, I think its type B or type A mini, yeah, it’s really a small cable. So it seems like this drive, the power management system doesn’t need two USB plugs.
The processor had basically one in here and then two on another, two regular USB ports the back to give more power. I think they managed to get the power under to one USB port.
