Tasha Gaymon: Hi! I am Tasha with the Erwin Gomez Salon & Spa. Today, we will be creating the look of the one and only Beyonce Knowles. First, we are going to go through and section the hair. You are going to want to go ahead and section the hair into three sections. First you want to go through and section the hair down the middle slightly just a teeny bit off center. We are going to start, a little further back this time since her fringe is just slightly a little bit shorter, so we don't need that section of the hair, and it all just depends on how long the hair is.
The next section, I am going to start, at the top of the ear and go straight across and comb that front section into one section and just twist that hair away, take one of your clips and snip that right into the hair. Then we are going to go over to the other side, do the same thing and twist that hair away.
Now that we have our three sections, now we are getting ready, to go through and do our smaller sub sections which we are going to start in the nape of the neck. You want to go through, right at the base make these about, a half inch wide within height and bring that hair down take the top section, comb the hair together and sweep and pin that hair away.
Sectioning the hair as so, what that does; gives you a little bit more control over the hair that you are curling at the moment, and so that you have a little bit more guidance to what you are doing in the styling. You are going to want to go through, do a diagonal parting. Your sections are going to want to be slightly, kind of small not too small, may be about, a one inch in size slightly almost like little triangles.
You are going to see how that is and take the additional hair and pin that away. That's how we go ahead, and section the hair. Now we are going to go ahead and prep the hair for curling.
