I want to show you here is self massage for the hands. You can see other basics Swedish Massage Techniques in my arm massage video part 1. All the techniques that are shown in this video can also be use in any hand massage or full body massage, and are not restricted to self massage.
Start the massage by vigorously rubbing the hands against each other until you feel some warm. Then start with circle of friction using the thumb on the inside of the wrist then you use circle of friction using the fingers on the outside. You can include a facial release of the inside and outside of the wrist do this by trapping skin and muscle tissue with either thumb or fingers and simultaneously extend or flex to wrist.
Move on to the palm, use circle of friction using the thumb from the base of the palm all the way to the bottom of the fingers. Cover half of the palm with this technique, then switch to circle of friction using the fingers on the rest of the palm and the thumb pad. Then continue with long strokes between the bones of the hand which is in line with the space between the fingers.
Then massage the muscle tissue between the thumb and the index finger and also massage the spaces between the bones and back of the hand. Finally, use long strokes along the fingers, you can either move along the sides of the fingers or along the front and back of the fingers.
