Before we can start fishing, we need to set our fishing station.
Basically, that means arranging our bait and our fishing equipment around us—so it is close to hands, so we can reach any part of it anytime we want.
Now, to send a piece of any fishing station is a seat of some description and that could be a simple stove. Right away through for a carve chair to a seat box, like I am using here.
On the left of me, I have my bait tray and I have all my baits on there. Very easily, I can pick them up and I can even feed the bait on the hook. I also keep a maggot pot and I keep a few several items such as a discourager or a plummet lead.
Then next, I have my landing net which is always set up and with a hand though, within easy reach and I hope I will be use that all time to land fish.
Grand bait bowls.
My grand bait bowl is on the ground here but with an easy reach so I can just pick out ground bait and throw into feed. If you are going to use a keep net, that it is important that you actually keep the keep net directly in front of you and fairly low to the water so you can put fish in easily to prevent damage in it.
Next, we need a rod rest of some kind. We need a rod within easy reach because we want to be able to put our rod down to bait the hook or unhook the fish. And also, we need it so we can pick it up and strike very quickly if the float goes under.
Now, I always keep an unhooking mop behind me especially if I am likely to catch big tench or carp—very important.
Any of these new rods I keep behind me to the left and within reach and all the rest of my tackle keep nice and tidy behind you so you do nor tripped over or people can not tripped over when they walk by.
