hope u can help been looking for some advice on our elegant geckos we have 2 females & 1 male they have started to mate. what do we need to do next? do we need to seperate them after they have mated coz we have all 3 of them in a tank together do we need to do a nest for them & what shell we use? & when they start to lay egg do we need to remove the egg 7 what do we need or use to do that? please can u help we are clueless we didnt even no what sex they was untill the other day when they started chasing & bitting & i found out that it mean they are trying to mate. please help many thanks kayley.

Setup Eggs for Incubation

Hi, this Wally Kern with Supreme Gecko. We have been asked recently how wee incubate our Pictus Gecko eggs and I wanted to show you a couple of methods that we’re currently using. To the right here, you can see that we have been using these small plastic containers and we’re using Perlyte and the Supreme Hatch material. We marked the tops of the containers with the date that the eggs were laid so you can see a new egg that we just found today. And what are we going over to is the small craft boxes and again we’re the Supreme Hatch material here. We’ve pre-wetted this material, putting the water in and then dumping all the water iff of the material and it still stays very, very moist and keeps the humidity in the container. So I'm going to take our egg that I just showed you, that we just found today. I’ll make a small dig, and then place the supreme hatch material around the egg and there you have. Put the box into our heated room and then it will stay around 82 to 83 degrees and hopefully in a couple of months we’ll start seeing some baby pictus. Check back soon.
